Three Week Time Skip

Jia's POV

It's been three weeks since I woke up. Time has never seemed to move slower, and that's compared to the long training days with my old pack. I've been trapped in my room for days, hardly able to leave my bed. Felix says I will heal faster if I stay in bed and rest well. I despise staying still; it's almost impossible for me.

The boys come to keep me company every once and awhile. But because of their busy training schedules, I'm often alone. I still take what I can get. I've gotten to know all of them a lot better, except for Chan.

Jeongin, Minho, and Changbin came to check on me this morning. They think that I'm completely healed. Finally! I don't think I can stand being in this room any longer.

"Yep, I think you're good to go. Your bruises are gone, and your cuts are barely visible." Thank you, Changbin! I have been waiting for those words for what seems like forever.

I jumped off of the bed and ran around the room, yelling, "Yes, yes, yes, yes!" I'm sure the boys thought I was crazy.

"Jia, chill. If you would like to, you can watch us train." I can't tell if Minho is being serious or just joking with me.

"Really?" I just want to make sure.

"Sure, why not? And maybe, if you feel up to it, you can train with us." Being in seems happy with his idea.

"Okay, sounds like fun. Let's go!" I pretty much skip all the way outside. I know I'm acting like a child, but I can't help it. I haven't been this happy for a long time.

I open the front door to find that it was a beautiful day. I could see it from my window, but until now, I couldn't feel it. It's chilly out here, just the way I like it. I forgot how gorgeous October can be.

Felix sees me and runs to hug me. "I guess Changbin said you're better." He gives me a big smile and hugs me again.

"Yep, that means you can't keep me in my room anymore."

He lets go of the hug and looks at me with a pouty face. "I was only doing that to speed up your recovery." He's trying to act cute to get my forgiveness.

"Whatever, I'm all better now. So, what kind of training are you guys doing?" Please don't say workouts. It's always been my least favorite part of training.

"We're working on our combat skills." Yes! No workouts! "Chan has been teaching us a few new things. He's the best fighter in the pack, so he often teaches us different skills." That would make sense, he does look like the strongest. Although I prefer being fast over being strong.

The rest of the boys are sitting in a patch of soft grass, probably waiting for us to join them. Felix and I walk over to them, and they greet us with a bunch of smiles. I sit next to Jeongin, and Felix sits on my other side next to Hyunjin.

Once we're all there, Chan stands up to start training. "Today, we'll be working on offense. Your defense has gotten decent, but it won't last forever. Your opponent will get tired at some point and become sloppy. If you want to win in a fight, you have to know when and how to attack." As he's instructing, he looks at all of the boys but not me.

"Changbin, will you help me demonstrate?" Changbin nods and stands to join Chan.

The two boys teach for about twenty minutes. Felix wasn't lying when he said Chan was the best fighter. He's strong and fast and has an excellent tactical approach. He must have been doing this for a long time.

"Okay, now that we're done showing you how to attack properly, let's see how well you can do it. Does anyone want to go first?" No one moves. "Anyone?" I look around to see that the boys are uncomfortable with the idea.

"I'll do it." I raise my hand like a child that knows the answer to a question. I stand up, and Changbin and I switch places.

Chan just sighs and finally looks at me. After about a month of not even seeing him, he finally looks at me. I've forgiven him for the whole, 'You have to leave' thing. I understand where he was coming from; I'm scared of JB too.

"Fine, but it's going to be hard to fight in those clothes." Since my only set of clothes is completely torn up and covered in blood, the boys have been letting me use theirs. I'm a lot smaller than they are, so their clothes are a bit too big for me.

"I'll be fine." A good fighter should be able to fight wearing anything.

"Okay, if you say so." This is going to be fun. We both get in the ready position. He starts attacking, and I block his hits. He's stronger than I thought. I continue to block for around two minutes. I can tell he's getting a bit tired.

Once I found his fight pattern, I was able to find a spot to attack. I take the chance and hit his exposed side. He was caught off guard and started to stumble a little. I strike his side a few more times. It feels like I'm punching a boulder.

I try to attack one last time, but Chan dodges and grabs my arm. He throws me over his shoulder, and I land on my back. Now I understand why they use this spot; the grass is so soft.

"I didn't expect you to find my fight pattern, but it still took too long. You also need to aim for different areas on your opponent's body. If you keep hitting the same point, they will eventually catch on." He holds out his hand for me to grab. I take it, and he pulls me up off the ground. He brings me close to him and whispers in my ear, "You might want to go get some ice for your hands." I look at my fists, and they are covered in bruises. Curse his rock hard torso!

A/N: So, I read this chapter to my mom. When I started talking about Felix, she does the most unexpected thing. She said, "Oi, Felix." I almost died laughing. I love my mom, and I'm happy that she is supporting me as I write this story, even if my love of Kpop confuses her.

Also, there might be a big time skip in the next few chapters. I don't know when or how I'm going to do it. If you guys can think of any fun winter activities that they could do, let me know. Maybe I'll make a Christmas chapter. Anyways, thank you for reading this far into the story. You guys are the best.
