It all started with a loud bang. One minute I was running to tell Five my theory and the next I was bolting downstairs. The house was shaking, explosions sounding ever few seconds. Chunks from the ceiling fell every which way. The Academy was falling apart it was just a matter if it'd drag us down with it too.
"Natalia!" Klaus yelled as he suddenly appeared in front of me with Diego.
"What the hell is going on?!" I yelled as ran over to them.
"It's Vanya, she's doing this." Diego said.
"Come on, Talia come on." Klaus said grabbing my arm.
He dragged me with him and Diego as he ran down the hall
"We have to find mom and we have to do it fast." Diego said as we ran.
We ran up the stairs in search for our mother as a loud explosion shook the house. My eyes widened as I held onto the railing to steady myself. One after another explosion happened. Chunks of the ceiling fell down around us causing me to scream.
"Talia come on!" Diego shouted as he grabbed my arm, pulling me along.
A huge chunk of the ceiling fell where I had just been standing and realization quickly set into my mind. We're going to die here. We quickly turned the mother, Deigo shouting for mom when it hit me. I'd forgotten mom's spare battery. Mom can't live forever and if she doesn't have the battery she won't last long.
"I have to get something!" I shouted, turning back in the direction of my room.
"Are you crazy?!" Klaus yelled.
"Find mom! I'll meet you outside." I yelled as I bolted towards my room.
"Natalia!" Diego yelled. But it was to late, I'd made up my mind.
I ran for my room, avoiding falling cement and trying to stay steady as the house quaked under my feet. I had made it to my room in record breaking time. I dug through the drawers and boxes in my room until I finally found the battery. I went to run out of my room when a giant piece of cement fell in my doorway. One with a rod sticking from it. I felt my heart beat quicken in my chest, that's where I died. That's where I should've died. I let out a shaky breath and forced myself to run out of my room and downstairs. I was almost to the front door when something caught my eye. I turned my head to see Pogo floating in mid air, Vanya in front of him. My eyes widened as I could only watch what came next. With a flick of her hand Vanya sent Pogo flying into the antlers mounted on the wall. I could only watch as they plunged through his chest and held him up. I hadn't known I was screaming until Vanya's head snapped in my direction. Tears filled my eyes but even with the blurriness caused by them I still saw the white in Vanya's eyes clear as day. The next thing I knew Luther had me thrown over his shoulder and ran out the door with me just as a chunk of cement fell where I one stood. I screamed and pounded on Luther's back in an attempt to get him to let me go. Tears clouded my vision as our not so beloved house fell down into pieces. It was only after the house completely fell and there was no sign of Vanya when Luther let me go. I ran through the rubble in search for Klaus and Diego and when I did find them, there was no sign of mom.
