I flew back into the cabinets with a thud. A headache forming as I held my head with a groan.
"Focus Number Eight." Dad said sternly, a hard glare settling upon his face.
I forced myself up from the ground and stared at Vanya who stood in front of me with a blank expression across her face.
"Run it again." Dad said as he jotted more notes down on his notebook.
I felt anger boil inside me as dad made us run the drill again. For at least two hours Vanya had been using her powers and throwing me around the entire basement. I knew I couldn't handle the hits much longer and dad was determined for one of his many children to knock out the one who reigned most powerful. Dad has precautions in case one of us goes bad. Everyone has someone who can take them out. He says there's always a balance and right now there is no balance as Vanya is more powerful than the rest of us. Everyone of us has had to gone through these drills to see who could finally beat Vanya and everyone always ends coming out of them with a broken bone, concussion, or worse.
Vanya's eyes squeezed shut and I knew what was to come. I looked over to dad who was now looking up from his notebook ready to jot down the next play out. Anger light up inside me like a fire, there was no way I was getting thrown back again. I barely caught the shiny invisible glow of Vanya's powers as she sent another force at me but this time it didn't reach me. Red corrupted the invisible glow, freezing the force in it's place. Vanya's eyes opened at the sound of silence and she looked to me confused. A force radiated inside me, one that I'd never felt before. I cry of anger escaped past my lips and red exploded from my body and latched itself onto the force in front of me. I looked to my hands to see my skin glowing red from my hands up to the middle of my arms. The force around me melted away, burning pieces of it falling to the ground. With one final wave of energy bursting out of me Vanya was sent flying back into the wall. A crack sounded as the wall broke under her, creating a body sized indent as she it the ground. The red disappeared into my body as I sank to my knees exhausted. Dad looked at my in shock as I breathed heavily.
"T-that's enough for today, Natalia."

I walked into the bar, Diego, Klaus, and Five all following me. Luther wasn't taking the whole dad suicide thing all to well so he ran off after we figured it out. So we gave him enough time to calm down while we, well Five and I formed part of a plan. Klaus just sat on his ass. We picked up Diego on the way out the door after he returned from jail.
"Trying a little hair of the dog are we?" Klaus asked as we walked over to the table Luther was sitting at.
"Leave me alone." Luther grumbled, looking down to the beer in his hand.
"Give us a minute." Diego said as he sat down in the empty chair next to Luther.
"Okay. Come on. Maybe they'll brood each other to death." Klaus said, looking to Five and I.
I rolled my eyes at Klaus' comment and walked over to a different table, sitting down in the chair.
"Any idea on how we're going to find Vanya and Allison?" I asked, looking over to Five as he sat down next to me.
"She went after Harold Jenkins so my guess is after we find her, we'll find Vanya too." Five said as he folded his arms.
"And how exactly are we going to do that? I mean we don't know anything about this guy other than he hates us, let alone where he is." I said.
Five went to respond when the sound of a chair being pushed out sounded rather to loudly. I snapped my attention to Diego and Luther to see Luther running past us out the door and Diego sitting in the chair. I quickly stood up and followed Luther out, the others doing the same.

We've been sitting in the car all day tracking down Allison's license plate and doing research on Harold Jenkins only to find out he has a cabin in the woods. Now if I were him that's exactly where I'd hide so that's our first lead. The only problem is we don't have much time to find any other places to look since it's already starting to turn dark outside.
"Hey can you go any faster?" Luther asked for the hundredth time today.
"Ask me again and I'll burn you with the cigarette lighter." Five threatened, his grip tightening on the steering wheel in obvious annoyance.
Luther looked to me with a what the hell face and I raised a brow at him in a way of telling him to knock it off. I leaned back into his seat with a pouting face like a child as he glared daggers at the back of Five's head. After a few more minutes of driving we finally reached the cabin. Luther was the first one out of the car. He ran up to the door, leaving the rest of us to scramble to catch up with him. Before we had any time to form a plan Luther kicked the door to the house down and ran inside
"Allison!" Luther yelled as we all filed in the house.
My eyes widened as I stood in the doorway, not daring to move any closer. A pool of red stained the carpet under Allison, a huge slit formed in her throat. A scream erupted from my lips shaking the dead air around us. A scream that would mark a change so huge nobody saw it coming.
