Jungkook-Pretend Boyfriend?

You sighed hopelessly as you watched Jungkook look at his ex-girlfriend with dreamy eyes across the cafeteria. With an elbow propping up his head, he sunk his chin deeper into his palm.

"Oh she's looking this way! Give me a quick kiss." He quickly rambled, and you complied, lifting your head and pecking his cheek. You couldn't help but to let your heart sink, but this is what you got for agreeing to be his pretend girlfriend.

At first, you truly thought it was a simple favor just to let him get the girl he wanted because you absolutely had no feelings for him, but after almost a month of this meaningless agreement, your heart caught meaningful feelings.

"How long are you going to keep up with this?" You blurted, picking you a french fry. He turned his head your way with some droopy eyes, "I'm just trying to make her jealous so she realizes what she lost and will come back to me. A few days ago, she talked to me, complaining about her current relationship and spoke about our past a bit. I think it's working!" He said, his tone becoming more exited.

You subtly licked your lips, letting your teeth sink in the bottom one, "That's great." You lowly said, trying to hide a pained expression.

"By the way, thanks for doing this with me. I promise to leave you alone after if you want." He said, smiling a little.

"You don't have to. We can still be friends." You said, pathetically trying to find a way to still stay in touch with him. You curse yourself within, knowing it'll only hurt you later down the line.

His eyes crease into a smile, "Great!" He turns his head a bit towards her again, gasping. "She's looking this way again. Can you lean towards me?"

Sigh.

a week later

By the end of the school day, you sat in the library alone, stressing over your midterms that will start tomorrow. About an hour into studying, you suddenly heard a chair creaking next to you with a strong whiff of perfume.

You turned your head, seeing a girl almost glaring at you. You realized it was Jungkook's ex-girlfriend.

"May I h-"

She immediately slapped you across the cheek, knocking off your glasses and interrupting your sentence. You gasped, lunging straight at her, causing her chair to fall backwards, "What the fuck was that for?" You snapped, picking up your glasses and fixing your hair.

She shrieked, trying to get up from her awkward fall. She tried to throw another hand at you, but you successfully grabbed it, preventing it from contacting your face. You wanted to chuckle at how weak she was.

"You bitch." She spat out, out of breath, "Break up with Jungkook." She demanded, still trying to yank her wrists away.

"Why? We're happy together." You proudly lied to her face. You felt ashamed for saying such sentence, knowing the bond between you two was all a pretend anyway.

"You don't deserve him." She grits her teeth, staring into your eyes.

After looking at her and talking with her, it truly made you wonder what Jungkook sees in her.
