Like the Rainbow Serpent. The Adonartina is a singular entity that exists to protect the many deserts of Australia. This mighty reptile is also known as the Guardian of Ularu, watching over the custodians of the land. They believe this lizard was born from the blood of the Rainbow Serpent when one single drop fell into the ocean during its fight with the Dark Daemon Viper.
It's believed that the Adonartina was the first dragon, being the ancestor to all non-winged dragons or also know as drakes.
Though the Adonartina doesn't breathe flames of destruction, it breathes life into the desert it calls home.
It's said where its feet land, patches of desert flowers grow and bloom. This mountain of a lizard is a calm and gentle giant, even with its large body, the Adonartina's footsteps are so light the earth doesn't move. You could hear a pin drop the moment it placed its feet to the earth.
Its call is nothing more than a small low hum that very few people can hear. It sounds like a whispering wind, and if you are lucky enough to hear it, you will be blessed with the gift of faunamancy.
Each time this lizard breathes the air becomes purified. On its back, there is a forest that grows on it. Birds and small animals live on it. The Adonartina is a walking ecosystem. The fruits that grow on this ecosystem are said to have magical seeds that can rejuvenate entire rainforests overnight. People have been seeking these seeds for a very long time. But it's taboo for any human to walk on the back of this majestic lizard.
But in today's climate, taboo she be the least of our worries.
