Territories - across AustraliaThe Centaurs that roam across Australia are descendants of an ancient race of centaur, deriving from the tribes that originated from the Mediterranean.
It's unclear when the Centaurs arrived in Australia or how they got here. Cave paintings say that they arrived around the same time as the first Aboriginal peoples. The Centaurs lived alongside the aboriginal peoples across Australia, but that tie was slowly severed when colonialism slowly started to spread across the continent. For a long time, the Centaurs lived in secluded places like the Kimberley Ranges of the Great Dividing Range. It's only in recent years that they have started to leave these places to voyage again. Many Centaurs have left their tribes to seek their destiny. To this day some centaurs have acquired work within the Ministry. Either as auras, ambassadors and even Members Of Parliament as well.
There are three Centaurs that work at Kulumunda as professors. One going by the name of Fassfir he is the Astronomy professor, the students admire him very much and is well-beloved by the staff as well. Here in Australia, Centaurs are known to use Magical Staves that have been crafted by their own hand. Using branches from wand wood trees and cores as well. These staves will sometimes have medium-sized gemstone embedded on the head of the staff. The most common stone used is Jasper and Topaz. With these staffs, they too are able to cast a plethora of spells as well that being Aguamenti or Petrificus Totalus.
But nothing will substitute a trusty Bow and deadly arrow. It's more common to see Elders, Healers, Seers and Scholars to behold staffs.----------------
Centaurs are very territorial beings protecting their land with heavy hoves. No one is allowed on their land unless invited, any person trespassing will be dealt with harshly.
Centaurs are known for their immaculate speed and agility, able to cross vast distances with short bursts of energy similar to cheetahs.
They are also known for their beautiful features their long hair, sharp yet elegant facial features and well-toned muscles. They are able to stabilise their upper torsos (similar to how chickens can do with their necks. I know a weird comparison but what can I say), so when they are running they can keep sight of their prey or focused on their shroudings without their vision being distorted.
