The sound of a happy tune played from a cellphone, waking up the groggy teen from her blissful sleep. Hailey groaned loudly as she turned off her alarm.
'I guess it's time to hate this song already.' She thought as she deadpanned, then got up from her warm bed, begrudgingly to walk towards her bathroom to shower.
Although it was apart of her previous 'getting ready for school' routine, Hailey accepted that it would remain in her new one, primarily as a means of waking herself up.
While she stood under the hot water that sprinkled onto her body, Hailey thought about how she ended up here.
How she discovered her passion and her dream career, the school that would help her achieve her dream and how she left her old school as a prized idol.
Hailey sighed as she remembered how her classmates and teachers acted when she was accepted into a prestigious school. She was the first person from a small community to get such an opportunity. Although she appreciated the attention, Hailey was nervous, yet excited about this big change in her life.
Of course, she was sad to leave her two closest friends, but they urged her to go on with her dream of becoming a hero.
As she washing her hair, Hailey took notice of some of the bruises that were finally beginning to fade, she had gotten them from the entrance exam awhile ago. Hailey remembered how giddy she felt as she watched the hologram of All Might congratulate her in being accepted into her dream school, her mother right by her side, who proudly hugged her.
'30 villain points and 40 rescue points, still doesn't feel like that was me.' Hailey smiled as she reminisced about the memory. She aimed to recuse and help others, as well as show off the strength of her quirks. It was an adrenaline rush that day, to say the least.
After finishing her shower and drying herself, Hailey dressed herself in her new school uniform. Hailey grimaced at her appearance.
Honestly, she wasn't used to being obligated to wear a uniform. Her usual school attire was either jeans or yoga pants with a hoodie. A skirt or dress were for formal events if so desired. This..this was going to be an adjustment for sure.
Upon noticing the length of the skirt, Hailey frowned. Rather than letting her confidence go down with the threat of someone discovering the colour of her panties, Hailey opened a dresser drawer and began to rummage until she found a pair of black shorts. She pulled them up and adjusted her outfit until she felt satisfied.
Nodding at her reflection in triumph, Hailey grabbed her school bag and phone, before leaving her bedroom to the kitchen downstairs.
"Mom?" Hailey called out, looking around at the sight of the empty kitchen. "Are you still here?"
Hailey chewed the inside of her lip and noticed a note beside a lunch bag. Hailey picked it up and read it out loud in a quiet murmur.
"'Hey Hails, sorry that I can't be there to see you off on your first day to U.A. but I just want you to know that I am so proud of you! You've been through so much this year and you deserve to have this good thing, because I have a feeling that it'll get better as time goes on. I love you and hope you have a great day. Love mom.'" Hailey felt a smile grow on her face, as she felt an empowered feeling flood her being.
Hailey understood that her mother was rather busy these days, since she owned and ran her own hero agency. Her mother wasn't a pro hero by any means, but was well regarded for being a self made agency owner by the pro hero community.
Taking in a breath of air, Hailey attempted to subside her sudden rise of anxiety as she realized that her life for the next 3 years was going to be overwhelming with all of the new changes that were coming her way. Trying to keep her mother's reassuring letter in mind, Hailey stuffed her lunch into her school bag and left the house towards the bus station.

Walking onto the school grounds, Hailey's expression just read how much in awe she was of her surroundings. The school was huge, even though she had seen it before, Hailey couldn't contain her astonishment.
She pursued into the building in search of her classroom. Searching down a hallway until she was before the large door that led into class 1-A.
'I can't believe that I'm actually here.' Hailey thought, having a surreal feeling.
Taking another deep breath for courage, Hailey opened the door and walking inside, only to bonk her shoulder into someone's shoulder blade with a light thud.
The person that she ran into turned around to see Hailey rubbed her nose.
"Aw jeez! I'm real sorry about that! Guess I didn't realize that I was right in the way, really unmanly of me to block the way." He apologized, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.
Hailey waved it off with a smile,"Hey, no worries there! With my luck, I was expecting something much worst to happen." She then stuck her hand out for the male to shake, "But hey, since it looks like we're gonna be classmates, may as well introduce myself: the name's Hailey Roselle!"
The male gave her a toothy grin that exposed his sharp teeth, and he shook Hailey's hand eagerly. "Nice to meet ya, I'm Eijirou Kirishima!"
The two then began to talk about how crazy it was to be in a school like U.A. and how hard it was to get into the school with the written and practical tests were to get in.
Then the door swung open again, Hailey didn't have enough time to react when she was suddenly pulled down to the ground after hearing someone shriek as they lost their balance and run into her.
Hailey turned to see what the hell had just happened to be face to face with freckled cheeks and curly green hair.
"Hi there." She greeted nonchalantly.
The boy's face quickly flushed and he quickly sat up. "S-s-sorry about that!" He squeaked nervously.
Hailey sat up and grinned brightly, "Don't worry about it, I'm happy to other people excited to start the first day if the rest our lives as heroes!" She then held out her hand again, "I'm Hailey Roselle, it's nice to meet you."
'So bubbly.' The boy thought before stammering an introduction. "O-oh! I'm I-Izuku Midoriya." He nervously shook her hand. "N-Nice to meet you too!"
Eijirou chuckled as he helped the two up to their feet, "I'm guessing this is what you meant with the 'just your luck' thing you were saying earlier, Roselle."
"Totally, but I think it's just he beginning." Hailey giggled. "Besides, I guess standing in the way of the door is the best way to meet people and make friends." She joked.
"If you're here to make friends, you can pack up your stuff now." A low and gruff voice said from the ground.
When the students looked down to see where the voice came from, they all had horrified expressions.
'What the fuck is that?!'
"Welcome to U.A.'s hero course." It grumbled as it pulled out a squeezable snack and sucked on it.

After introducing himself as their homeroom teacher, Mr Aizawa turned to toss his sleeping bag under his desk podium and the students sat in their assigned seat. Hailey was assigned seat number thirteen, and was fortunate enough to have her two new friends beside her.
Maybe she was worrying for nothing.
