When Christmas Come to Town

Chapter 8

Joe's POV

J-"We're finally alone"
D-"I know right"
J-"I mean the only way we could do that was by coming into your bedroom though"
D-"Yeah I wish we had more space"
J-"Mhm"
D-"So why did you pull me up here"
J-"Urmm I wanted to ask you a question"
D-"Okay shoot"
J-"Okay so you know the whole disaster that was shopping today"
D-"Yeah"
J-"Well it made me realise that we really aren't boyfriend and girlfriend and at the moment we're just a thing"
D-"Yeah"
J-"But thing sounds like fling and I don't want to be a fling soooo Dot will you be my girlfriend"
D-"Yesssss"

Dianne jumped into my arms I spun her around before I fell onto the bed with her landing on top of me.

D-"We should go back downstairs"
J-"I know god knows what they'll think we're doing"
D-"All there heads are in the gutter so I can probably guess what they think we're doing"

Rina-"Hi guys"
Tracey-"Hi"

I whispered to Dianne.

J-"Why are they speaking so weirdly"
D-"I have no idea"
J-"No they're walking towards us weirdly"
D-"What are they doing"
J-"Now they've both got there hands on you're stomach"

D-"What are you doing"
Rina-"You guys just did"
J-"Nooo"
D-"What did I say Joe"
J-"I actually can't believe you were right"
D-"Please can you get you're hands off of my stomach"
Tracey-"Right"
J-"Why were you touching her stomach"
D-"They thought I was either gonna be pregnant or we are trying for a baby"
J-"What I literally took her upstairs to ask her to be my girlfriend"
D-"That means we've been officially dating for about 5 minutes can you all calm down"
J-"Yeah please calm down"
D-"Right I need to make an announcement"
J-"EVERYONE"

Dianne stood on the chair, I stood closely in case she fell.

Andrew-"Yep"
D-"Right hi, please can you all back off this is mine and Joe's relationship not anyone else's we will go at the speed we want to go at that means we are not trying for a baby right this second mums please leave us alone and give us space"
Brendon-"Well said"
D-"Mums one more mention of grandkids and you're not getting any"

Dianne jumped off of the chair.

D-"Please can we get out of here"
J-"Definitely"
D-"Our mums are driving me crazy"
J-"Me too"
D-"I can't deal with them anymore they are so annoying"
J-"I think we may have become too old to live with them"
D-"What are you saying"
J-"I don't know maybe we should start looking for a place of our own"
D-"Joe we literally just started dating"
J-"Yes but I've known you all my life, I know everything about you it's not like you have to catch me up on every thing that's happened"
D-"I suppose we do know each other really well"
J-"Dianne you are my best friend and always have been and now you're my girlfriend which is just amazing"
D-"We both do need to move out and since we're together, let's move in together"
J-"Yesss"
