Adeline's POV
--------
"--And swing!" Isaac leads us as we all copy his actions. I swing my sword to the right, slicing the air before me in half.
"Nathan,-" Isaac walks over to him, "your arm needs to be higher. If you keep it that low, someone will end up cutting your face." He adds a snicker.
"I still don't get why Warriors get special training, while Serena and I have to teach ourselves." Amy whines as she watches us from a log a few feet away.
"That's because you two are witches," Isaac says, "just as well as bit-"
"-what he means," I cut him off, probably saving his life, "is you two are Witches. Smart, smart witches." I get a satisfied smile from Amy.
What can I say? No matter how tough you are, if you're human, you're probably screwed against a witch or warlock.
"Okay, show me the entire routine- from the top." Isaac instructs, leaning against a tree, arms crossed.
I take a step back, and reply all of the steps- correctly I hope. Swipe to the right, duck down, elbow to the right then swipe left.
Just as I'm about to elbow right, I feel a hard blow to my abdomen, and stumble a few steps back, trying to catch my breath. I look up to see a guy with an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, Addy," He helps me steady myself onto my feet, "I'm not exactly the best at agility."
I let out a slight laugh, "It's okay, doesn't hurt as bad as when you sliced my leg." I place my hand over where I got elbowed.
"I swear, my sword had slipped!" He scratches the back of his neck with his hand.
Isaac interrupts our conversation, "I should make sure you two don't stand next each other anymore," He laughs, shaking his head at us, "okay, now for the rest of you," he gets everyone else's attention, "make sure to practice- Johnny here obviously needs it." he passes a glance towards the boy beside me.
Everyone around me begins to spread out and head back into their tents. I get another apology and quick smile from Johnny.
"I think I did pretty well." Nathan smiles to Serena as she nears him.
"I think you could've done better." She smirks, stopping a few inches away from him.
"Oh, like you could've done any better, Witch." He laughs.
If you were new to the tribe, you would've thought these two were dating. Heck, sometimes, even I think so.
"Hey," I hear an all too strict familiar voice, "either you back away from my little sister, or I make you."
Nathan's lips form a smirk, and he takes a step away from Serena. He winks at her causing her cheeks to redden.
"Both of you, back to camp," he pauses, "both in your own tents." That gets a giggle out of Serena.
I brush my self off making sure I don't carry any dirt on myself, and turn to head back to camp, when I get stopped by Chris.
"Hey- I've got something to tell you." His hand clasps my shoulder. I look at him expectantly. "I um-" he pauses. He drags me deeper into the woods and I follow behind, with a slight doubt that he may end up murdering me. Slight doubt.
When he's sure there's no one near us, he takes a deep breathe and clears his throat, "I have a way to get out of here."
I just blink at him, "Yeah, you walk a few feet to the West and you're in Elunede's territory."
