*After school*
I decided to walk home and leave Sam behind, he has his friends.
I heard footsteps.
Like someone was running to me.
Probably a random student.
"Theresa."
That voice sounded familiar.
gilinsky.
He ran to my side and walked next to me.
Our shoulders touching as we walked.
It gave me butterflies.
No, don't fall for him. Remember what he did.
"When should we start working on the project?" Jack said I interrupting the silence.
I didn't respond.
"The silent treatment. But we still need to finish our project." He laughed to himself.
"Why'd you do that?" I stopped walking.
"Johnson likes to make up rumors for attention."
"Do you know why?"
"He use to get bullied, it stopped in high school because of Magcon and vine."
He always seems fine around his friends.
"We can work on it tomorrow after school."
He nodded.
We exchanged numbers.
When we said our goodbyes jack reached out for a hug.
I just went along with it.
I could smell his cologne and I feel his body heat.
When I got home I got a text from '❤️Jack❤️'
Remind me to change that later.
J - I'm sorry for being a jerk to you 😞
T - apology accepted
J - 😊 well hope you have a good night
T - goodnight jack 😂
J - night Theresa 😒😂
*the next morning*
I did the normal stuff.
Left with Sam and ignored my mom again...
I walked out and Sam was talking to Johnson.
Gilinsky looked up from his phone and his face lit up. He came over to me with the biggest smile on his face.
"Hey."
"What about Johnson?"
I don't want anything to happen and ruin their friendship.
"It's fine."
We walked to school together and talked about random things. For some reason it doesn't get awkward with Jack.
*skips class >> lunch*
I was walking out of class when a girl came up to me.
"You know Jack Gilinsky!" The pretty stranger said.
"Yeah he's a friend."
"He's one of the most popular guys in school. I'm Cali."
"Theresa."
I'm not that good at keeping a conversation going.
"Want to have lunch with me and my friend?"
"I was gonna go with Jack but whatever."
I ate lunch with Cali and her friend Allison.
They are actually really nice. All we talked about were boys. They talk about the jacks and my brother. They keep calling him hot.
I don't know what they see in him and Johnson.
"Want to hang out after school? Were gonna get Starbucks."
"As much as I love Starbucks I have to go to Jacks later for a project."
"Have fun." Allison said with a grin.
