Chapter 18 // liar

"Was Jack there?" Matt asked

"Yeah..." My voice trailed off.

"Are you guys... a thing or something?" He mumbled.

"No, no Matt. We're just friends."

Really friendly friends.

"Oh ok. Did anything happen that I should know about?" He took a bite of his ice cream.

Jack Gilinsky fucked me.

"No." I stabbed at my ice cream.

After we both finished Matt took me home.

"Wanna come inside?"

"Sure I don't have any plans."

"Sammy!?" I yelled walking inside. Checking if he was home.

"Yeah?" He sounded annoyed.

"Nothing." He was in the living room with Madison.

"Slut." I mumbled walking past them.

"Me and Matt are gonna go upstairs."

"Ok... Don't tell Jack you're doing this." He chuckled.

"Uh.."

"What's he talking about?" Matt walked up the stairs.

"Oh nothing." I nervously laughed.

"Theresa... I've known you forever, I know when you're lying." I walked into my room and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Sit down matt."

I breathed out.

"At the party, I had a little too much to drink. Jack also did. Then... something happened.." My voice trailed off.

"Oh um... I think I should go. I had a fun time today. Bye." he scratched the back of his neck.

"Matthew.." I stood up.

"Theresa... I-I'll call you or something." He shook his head and walked out.

"Sammy!?" I yelled and ran downstairs.

"What's with Matt?" Him and madison both laughed.

"Get out." I pointed at Madison.

"No stay." He smiled at her.

"Madison, leave, now." she shrugged and stood up.

"See you tonight babe." She kissed sam and walked out.

"Why did you say that?!"

"What?" He was laying on the couch.

"Don't tell Jack you're doing this." I mocked him.

"Idk. Seemed funny at the time." He smirked.

"YOU MADE MATT LEAVE! HE PROBABLY WONT TALK TO ME EVER AGAIN. HE DIDNT NEED TO KNOW WHAT I DID WHEN I WAS DRUNK!" I walked back and forth.

"Sorry." He pulled out his phone.

"You're so complicated." I grabbed his phone, threw it across the room and walked away.

I walked to my room and laid there. Theres nothing I can really do. It already happened so I'll just leave it alone. Maybe it will go away.

*next day at school*

I walked into the school and was greeted by Jack.

"Hey babe." He hugged me from behind. I giggled.

"Wait Jack, can I talk to you?"

"Yeah sure." He held my hand walked into a supply closet. (Don't worry nothing happens)

"Um... on Saturday. Why did you.. Uh." I looked at my shoes.

"Just ask me." He held both my hands.

"Why did you leave? I woke up and you were gone."

"I had family coming and I forgot the day before. I texted you."

"I didn't get it. Sorry. I thought I did something wrong. Because I did something stupid the night bef-" He leaned in and lightly kissed me. He rested his forehead on mine.

"You didn't do anything. You're perfect. (jw)" He kissed me again and we walked out.

We both walked to our separate classes. After 3rd period I walked out and saw Jack...

And Madison.
