Diner
Phoenix's POV
_ "w-what?" Her big blue cerulean eyes widen abnormally. "What are you talking about?" She scoffs.

_ "Since I bumped into you in the corridors, I felt like I've seen you somewhere before." I explain. "And that kiss proved me right."

_ "Phoenix I still don't get what you're talking about..." her face expressed genuine confusion yet she seemed super calm...

Essence's POV
At this moment I almost shat myself! Could he be talking about the kiss... at the party..?

_ "I wouldn't be able to forget those soft full lips that tasted like fresh summer cherries." He sighs, as his eyes wander all the way to the moon. I studied his adorable expression at that moment. He had a precious grin plastered across his face, as his cheeks turned red underneath his neatly scattered freckles. I continue to play dumb and ask... intrigued as to if he had deciphered my familiarity.

_ "Phoenix you still didn't answer my question." I tug at the strands of his hoodie.

_ "Were you by any chance at the party the day before classes began?" He returns his attention back to me.

_ "Yeah, wasn't everyone there?" I try to hide my panic.

_ "I guess. But I know, I just know it was you..."

_ "Umm... honey I already told you I was there." I sarcastically state. "Also, you may have seen me in the kitchen, when I went in there to get myself a drink. That's probably why you think I'm familiar...Weren't you sitting at the table with a huge crowd surrounding you?"
His head slightly tilted to one side as I continued on rambling: "and then this pretty girl showed up and began yelling at you, so you just took off and-" I stop. Phoenix now had a mischievous cocky smirk drawn upon his face. He then stepped closer to me.

_ "As much as I like the idea of you stalking me at the party...Stop trying to deny it. I know it was you I kissed in the dark room." He whispered, sending shivers down my spine as his lips lightly grazed my ear. He then looked straight into my eyes as he proceeded:

_ "You think I'd forget the way you smell of fresh picked daisies and the sweet cherry flavor of your lips? I'm a trained assassin too" He places his lips back on mine for just a few seconds, then pulled away licking them and devilishly flashing his white teeth at me. I roll my eyes at his hubristic personality. No use in trying to lie anymore.

_ "Fine, fine! You got me, just tone the boastfulness down will ya?" He happily kisses me once more. He was utterly adorable. "But don't let it get to you. First off I didn't even know it was you, and second it was a dare..." I hastily state as to not give off the wrong impression... but my tone came out harsher than expected. His expression now changes into a skeptical one.

_ "Don't ask... now can you put me down? I'm freezing and soaking, and this rain doesn't seem like it's gonna stop anytime soon." He abruptly stops what he's doing, and takes off his hoodie, putting it on me, then he held me in his arms bridal style and ran into the dormitory.

As soon as I got to my door, I pressed my back against it, and slid down to the floor. There in the empty hallway I sat, completely drenched and in awe. Then I heard noises coming from inside of my room. I slid out the pocket knife that I always carried on me, and entered. Ready to fight, I was taken aback by the sight of my two best friends, sprawled across my bed, eating a bag of chips. "Nice hoodie" points Raven at Phoenix's hoodie which I currently wore.

_ "You picked the lock didn't you?" I sigh, tucking back some wet strands of hair that had stuck to my face as I ignored her comment.

_ "Yeah, and you picked the dean's son..." said Destiny, throwing a chip into her mouth. Raven began wheezing as my eye began twitching.
