                    It will fall into place

Destiny's POV
The few days Essence haven't been around were pretty hectic. Raven and I were worried sick. We knew nothing about her whereabouts, what her mission consisted of, if she was okay or not, or if she was even alive... but we had to think positively and hope for the best.

Essence is a bad ass. She's the strongest girl I know, both physically and mentally, so we try to focus on that. Besides, I'm sure Phoenix won't let anything bad happen to her...

While we dealt with our best friends absence by distracting ourselves with homework and parties, her brother had his own coping mechanism.

During parties, you would always find him in some room making out with random girls (sometimes more than one at a time). He has also been spotted doing the walk of shame every morning while leaving the girls dorm apartments. I mean I get that he's worried about his sister, but he's acting like he's just had his heart broken. To make it all worse, anytime he's around his 'toys' and spots me, he would flirt with them or make physical contact, knowing damn well I'm looking at him. Whenever he does that, I don't know whether I wanna rip my own hair out, or punch his annoyingly handsome face in.

I barge out of the cafeteria after seeing him once again surrounded by chicks who were clearly all over him. It was starting to make me sick. Walking quickly my gym bag in hand, I make a turn and duck behind the sports building.

_ "Hey Destiny you ok?" I knew someone was following me, but his voice still managed to startle me. I didn't expect Ian to follow me. I grunt, turning around and facing him.

_ "I'm fine Ian." He was taken aback by my harsh tone.

_ "Sheesh, what crawled up your ass and died?" He grimaces. I simply roll my eyes at him, crossing my arms.

_ "What do you want Ian? Why'd you follow me?" I tuck a hair which escaped from my bun behind my ear. He carefully follows my fingers with his eyes as I did so. I shiver under his gaze as he then trailed my body.

_ "I just saw you storming out of the caf so I decided to check on you." He takes a small step forward unconsciously. "Did anyone upset you?" His face hardens at those words. If only your dumbass knew. "Who's butt shall I whoop?" He wriggles his eyebrows. I giggle at his gesture and he looks away smiling and rubbing the back of his neck before staring back into my eyes with his sapphire ones. "No but really... did anyone hurt you?" He takes another step towards me.

_ "I- No. Really I'm fine." I could feel the goosebumps rise on my neck as he studied me so intricately.

_ "I know you're lying" he pushes me back against the cold wall, caging me under him with one arm. The other cupped my face.
"But I'm gonna let it slide this time." His voice turns husky as he whispers in my ear. His hot breath against my skin was driving me crazy. What's he playing at?

I looked up at him through my dark lashes, admiring how tall he is. My eyes kept alternating between his gorgeous eyes and his mouth. Suddenly, he dipped down and wrapped an arm around my waist pulling me closer, his full lips hovering inches away from mine.

_ "God, are you tempting." He growled as I felt my cheeks flush. I wanted nothing more than to pull him into me and kiss him, but Essence popped into my mind. Even though she is a really chill person and I'm sure she wouldn't really mind it, something made me feel guilty. Like I had to talk to her about it first.

_ "We-we can't do this behind Essence's back." I breathe. He drops his hand from above my head and scrunches his eyebrows.

_ "Do what?" He says confused.
