Giyuu's POV:
We arrived at the large gates if the wisteria forest. Urokodaki Sensei explained to us on the way that these Wisteria trees were supposed to weaken the demons. As well as driving unwanted ones away.
Sabito and Makomo we're chatting away about strategies or something. Y/n seemed to just stare into space. Strange.
Giyuu: y/n, are you alright?
Y/n: h-huh ? Oh, y-yeah I'm fine!
A sweatdrop runs down her cheek.
"if your scared, just tell us okay? We'll help you"
"ah..okay, thanks Giyuu"
Y/n leans towards me and hugs me. A very warm, wholesome hug. I hope we'll be able to team up after we pass. Slaying demons together, I always want to be by her side, Sabito and Makomo too.
Other students begin to gather around the gates too. None of them as colourful as us though. Two small girls explain something about the selection, now I'm really beginning to worry...
I look over towards the other students. I see the son of Rengoku. The great flame pillar. As well as Kanae Kocho, who has someone who looks like her sister, as a student.
I can feel myself sweating, just thinking about these other students. They're so much more experienced than us...
What if we don't make it?

My train of thought gets messed up with Sabito patting my back.
Sabito: you alright?
Giyuu: y-yes. Just nervous .
"It'll be alright. We can do it!" Sabito says with a grin
Giyuu: mhm!
Sometimes I wish I could be more like Sabito. So calm, brave and smart. Unlike me who's constantly getting anxiety over some girl. Ugh
Sabito's POV:
Everyone seems to be nervous. Even y/n. As the oldest, I need to get them all back into reality.
Sabito: OI what's 6×3?
Everyone: * snaps back into reality *
Giyuu: eh?
Sabito: SIX TIMES THREE
Giyuu: I dunno-
Sabito: SIX THREES!
Makomo: haha Giyuu's dumb
Sabito: HEY Y/N WHATS SIX TIMES THREE
Y/n: h-huh? U-uh 18!!!
Giyuu: *le-oof*
Makomo: who were you asking?
Sabito : all of you. Look the gates are opening now. Let's stick together and finish this off together!
(This actually works. If someone's busy thinking about something and you want them to pay attention to you, ask them a math problem. Don't make it too tricky though)
No one's POV:
The crowd of students hurry into the forest. All they need to do is survive 7 days. Easy right? Wrong.
Unprepared students were frantically running all over the place. Only causing problems for those who are prepared.
Sabito, however, tried his best to save everyone. By the third day, Sabito had been able to slay many demons, saving many lives, leaving almost all the students in the selection still alive. Some felt hopeless, letting another kid save their lives was an embarrassment. However, (sabito) Earning their trust he urged them to go on.
