Suddenly everything went quiet. Time stopped. Everyone around us froze as me and Olive looked at each other. Suddenly everything made sense. Her dads ritual was to come alive again. Her mom was so scared because she knew she was seeing a ghost. All these years Olives dad was never there. Olives dad was still out there. We couldn't do anything to make him go away, he was already gone away. "This is insane," I said
"You wanna know the reason I got expelled at my other school?" Olive asked.
"Sure"
"My father would come to pick me up and poke my friends with needles to see if their blood was right, if it was pure. But why would they expel me if it was my dad? Maybe it was me all along. Maybe I had a feeling that your blood was pure and kind so I invited you over for a sleepover. So my dad showed himself to you, tricked you to believe he was real. Like he tricked me."
"I can't believe this is happening," I said faintly.
"I'm sorry Natalie! I'm so so sorry!"
Time came back and everyone looked at us very confused. What would we tell them? A ghost tried to kill us to make himself come back to life?
