Chapter Seven: Man Of The House

It's been a couple of weeks since Callie moved back to greenville. Now that his life has switched from having a long distance girlfriend, to a happy family! I couldn't be any happier right now. After Bear dropped Breanna off at daycare he came back home to see Yogi sitting at the kitchen table. Well good morning to you he said with a smirk on his face, I slowly closed the front door then made my way to the kitchen I seen you finally made your way into my house, unannounced? He got up from the table and turned me towards the living room where I seen my 70 inch smart tv so I told him he could stay. Yogi took a seat on the couch while I made me a cup of coffee so I decided to ask him where has he been hiding the last couple of weeks. I should be asking you the same question! Ever since Callie moved back to the ville you've been M.I.A! I proceeded to tell her that there has been some major changes in both of our lives, but I can still find time to spend with you. Ayo!!! Yogi said loudly I guess you was right about me girl the last couple of weeks I've been doing a lot of soul searching. So what are you saying? Yogi quickly chimed in and told me that's he is tired of eating you outta house and home he wants to settle down! Say it ain't so Callie y'all are now playing house! I knew when she moved back you was gonna have him by the balls! Callie walked over to the table, and kissed me on the forehead. Hey stank, we were just talking about you I thought you didn't have to be at work until 9:00? I decided to get up early, besides when you decide to take her spare key I'll be able to sleep in peace. Yogi laughed and told her that will never happen then turned his attention towards me and seen my hand out. Are you serious!! He quickly went into his pocket, and handed me not only the keys to the apartment, but the other keys he's made in the past. You know Yogi maybe when you decide to stop dinking around with these married women and baby daddy drama you will find someone you could be able to spent the rest of your life with. As he laughed then asked Callie was she high because the day he decides to settle down, or get married his wife better come with a high sex drive, a fine twin sister, and two besties who's down want all the smoke! I proceeded to throw him out the house, and head off to work. After he left Bear and I got a phone call from his high school friend Isaiah Robinson he wanted us to stop by the college so we can catch up so I told Pj to come by in the house, and I asked Teagan could she come with us. When we walk into SCT I felt like a weight was lifted off us it's been a few years since the end of my career and now that he finally made it back to where it all started felt really great, getting to see some of my former teachers, meeting some of the students, and Bear ran into some of my freshman recruits, until I seen a familiar face in the hallway. I walked into Coach Gillis office look who finally showed up said Coach Gillis we were talking to some of your players. I see your players are dedicated Pj said sarcastically. They are especially the offensive and defensive captains plus your quarterback remind me of a certain name we will not mention
said Pj Listen I'm not trying to get in your business Pj quickly stopped him and told him then don't pry! Since the allegations were cleared, and the school has put it behind is doesn't mean that I have too. Well this new class is now running things and this season we may make some noise but I'm going to tell you the moment he returns to the campus it will monumental said Coach Gillis. When I heard that Lawrence was going to come back after all that has happened I tried to reach out to him multiple times but there has been some tension between us, a lot of people have been saying that I have been very angry and bitter said Pj; Coach Gillis and Bear both told him you've been very angry! Bear proceeds to tell Pj to stop letting this happen, it's been 7 years this upcoming year they've decided to put our banners back in the rafters, so make it right! When everyone left Coach Gillis office Pj went to the car, and picked up his cellphone as he dialed Lawrence's phone number as Lawrence answered the phone Pj sighed when Lawrence told him it's been a long time, and he has been waiting daily for this conversation as Pj slowly sighed and smiled.
