Chapter Nine: Pain Is Love

The next morning Yogi woke up to see his Akira  not in sight. He slowly got out of bed, and looked out the window to see if her car was outside but she was long gone. After leaving his loft Akira  rushed straight to Teagan's office, when she burst into her office Imani and Callie was in the middle of giving her paperwork. I told her to make herself at home. Ok girl give us the tea said Imani first off that's none of your business said Teagan..  She was shocked that she told her that, Akira then apologize and told her that it's been a long night. It must've been I guess Yogi  must've done something wrong, he got you walking around here disruptive. To be honest last night was everything I wanted out of our date. He treated me like a queen, dinner on the rooftop, soft r&b music playing, and candles surrounding us I knew in my heart this man was the one. How romantic said Imani look are y'all done with this soap opera we have people outside ready to buy houses, and y'all over here gossiping about Yogi! Imani first off chill, and besides Im the Vp so it's my job to get things in order. Imani clinched her papers and stormed out the office! Now back to you Akira I wish Pj still did things like that with me! It is until I left him hanging this morning said Akira. She immediately chimed in and asked her why did she do that to! I don't know I got scared said! Teagan got up from her desk, and walked over to where she was standing, and told her that she was bugging. She immediately then Akira dropped her head on her desk. Hey boss, we have this lady out here who's looking for a home A.S.A.P! said Sean I'm on it said Teagan. No, No, No I got it Teagan said loudly I got this one, besides who can help her other than your second in command. You just had to shamelessly plug that in huh, listen go ahead, and attend to Akira! I will go help the lady find the house she needs. Teagan went into the officeto a potential client while Imani helped Akira out with her problems. As Kennedy walked into the entrance where she seen the young woman looking at a magazine she introduced herself to the young woman then inviting her into the office. As the young woman took a seat Kennedy  proceeded to ask her what kind of house was she looking for? The young woman took off her sunglasses then told her she was looking for something that's classy, but content. As Kennedy started to show her a couple of photos of different houses the first house was a no go, the second house wasn't even close, but the third house she showed was just the one she wanted. This is the one she said loudly well alright, I seen we found a keeper said Kennedy if you mind me asking why are you looking for a house so sudden? The young woman smiled, then bit her lip me and my boyfriend have been doing this long distance thing for a minute so I decided to move up here, to make it easier for the both of us because i need my afternoon appointments on the regular! Girl, ain't that the truth! Kennedy laughed then leaned back into her chair. Look I'm about to finalize your application, and then we can go look at the house. she walked out her office, and into the back room where the copy machine was there, she seen her phone vibrated it was a message from Pj explaining to her in a text message that he was going to be in the film room all week so don't wait up. She felt a little discouraged because she wanted to spend time with him but typical Pj to put work before them she's been use to it. Hey, Hey I seen you out here pulling clients said Sean; Teagan brushes off his comment, grabbed her papers, and went back to her office. By the time Akira leaned up from the desk she seen Yogi standing in the office; What are you doing here? At first he took it as a joke due to him calling her all morning, driving by her job, and even calling the police to issue a missing person report out! Come on yall let's go to lunch said Teagan, Imani told her to go ahead without her because the main course is right here in front of us! So Teagan grabbed her arm, and drug her out the office. Yogi handed Akira some flowers then took a seat at the table. She asked him about last night he immediately cut her off he thought they both had a connection but when he woke up this morning you were no where to be found! She told him that she had to leave this morning, besides she didn't want to wake him up. She went ahead and told him that last night was amazing the way you held me in your arms she felt secure that he wouldn't hurt her, Akira was just scared to give her all to him. He got up from the chair, and walked over to where she was standing. He explained to her that last night he gave her his all, and he doesn't regret it so whenever she decides to find it in your heart to see what he sees, and realize that he's not afraid to be everything you want me to you call me! He kisses her on the forehead, then left the office. Imani came from behind the door to see Akira standing in her office about to break down crying so she gave her hug, and told her everything was going to be alright.
