Chapter Eight: Love Is In The Air

It was Friday morning Bear woke up to smell breakfast being cooked in the kitchen. As he made it downstairs he seen Yogi standing over the stove with my apron on, and Pj sitting at the table waiting on some food. So what brings y'all by the house unannounced again? Bro take a seat and let Yogi whip up these pancakes, and eggs said Pj. I took a seat at the table, He brought over the food, as I started to eat I looked up and asked both of them why were they here? Do you remember Akira? Boogie's ex girlfriend who was at SCT! Yogi looked at me with a stank look and told him get it together! So he explained what happened yesterday.... So I was in the store yesterday, I went over the salad section, and seen this beautiful young woman, brown skin, and a body that could stop a policeman in traffic! From the looks of it she needed some help with her basket. So I walked over to give her some assistance. "Hey ma'am let me get that for you." I said. She looked at me up and down then her eyes got bigger. "Yogi?!" Yes, it's me in all of my glory. I flashed her a smile and went in for a hug. She hugged me back and we caught up for a while. "I thought that you were living in Los Angeles you have a few boutiques that are booming? Akira told me that she was she had to stop in Greenville to see Mariah, and Teagan plus i had to pitch some ideas their way. Akira and Mariah were planning on opening a few restaurants she's trying to open a third one that looks over the city of Greenville. As Yogi looked her up, and down then congratulated her on all of her success. Well thank you, let me find out you've gone soft on me she said with a smile. Soft! Oh please we both know I'm cut from a different cloth besides if it wasn't for you pulling me out of the fire last year I wouldn't have had a 1, 000 yard season my senior year so I'm just congratulating you. Akira put her hand on her hip, then looked him up and down then told him he's right, and told him thanks for the compliment, she went into her purse, and pulled out her phone then put his number in her IPhone then handed him a business card, if your ever downtown and free for lunch please stop by one of the restaurants I should be there if not call me! I'll do you one better how about dinner this Friday said Yogi. Hold up, you're asking me out on a date you are getting soft on me? I'm serious maybe dinner, and a movie. I'd love to she said as they both exchanged numbers they both went there separate ways.  Look at you I guess what the girls told you really sunk in, huh? Yeah about that said Yogi. That's a beautiful, and touching story now let's get into the real reason I'm here I have a date tonight said Pj; Oh yes, another late night episode with Gerald, and Kennedy said Yogi First off it's not with KeKe said We all dropped our forks, and looked at him with who then? said Bear;  Man listen my marriage has ran its course, and I've dibbed, and dabbed around lately but then I met Tianna. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it all that cap you would be given me when it comes to your wife but your doing dirt said Yogi. So what, I'm doing dirt what are you gonna do Yogi,  you have something to say mr. faithful! Pj quickly sized Gerald up then told him I may be mr. faithful but at one time I respected you and the way your going about things right now is dead wrong so just be careful with what you put yourself in. Listen man I hear what you are saying but after the dinner party I tried my hardest to go all out, but when Tianna came along, and we started kicking it I felt a spark was lit and I was back to my old self, don't get me wrong I love Kennedy but as of right now a brother just want to have some fun. After talking to the guys Yogi went back to loft to get ready for his date. Akira knocked on the door, and after a couple of seconds he opened the door for her. Hello, beautiful?? She slowly walked into his apartment trying not to smile. I hope you brought your appetite, she quickly told him that she did but she didn't smell no dinner cooking. He told her to close her eyes as he puts a blindfold over her eyes. Now hold up pimp, I don't play those type of games! As Yogi laughed at her, he told her he has a surprise for her but she needs to put the blindfold over her eyes. Akira decided to put the blindfold over her eyes and walked with him towards the elevator. The elevator went up to the top floor slowly that's when he took the blindfold off, she seen the candlelight dinner on top of the roof. Hey you done all this for me said Akira, I know it's not a lot, she quickly told him it's exactly what she wanted. After dinner he asked her to dance, after a few minutes of slow dancing Yogi looked deeply into her eyes, and she pulled back a little. There you go he said listen it's been a little minute since we've been around each other, so I just wanted to take it slow my life is pretty complicated. My life isn't perfect either, you know my back story, and I know yours so we can take it as slow as you want. She quickly kissed him and the sparks immediately fly, and we all know what happened next.
