Rue POV

Jrue and Jules were already awake the next morning. Jules didn't normally wake early.

"Jules we need to talk." I said. I wanted to talk to her before I went to work.

I could see in her face that she didn't want to talk. But did I give a shit?

Nope!

"Yeah." She said not looking at me.

"Alone."

She rolled her eyes and followed me.

"What's up with you?" I ask.

"Nothing." She whispers.

"Nothing!? You've been acting cranky all week."

"Sorry, Rue. I'm just nervous about this wedding."

". . . Are you getting cold feet?"

"No. I want to marry you. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. You gave birth to our child, I would never get cold feet about us." Jules said hugging me.

I hugged her and kissed her.

"How about you take a day off and me, you and Jrue have a day together.

She always knew how to make me happy.

I almost didn't notice a diamond necklace around her neck.
