Rue POV

The pills were hard to swallow. Dr. Hagen gave them to me.

I was in a hospital. A real one.

Jules and mom were sitting beside me. But I didn't see Jrue.

"Where is she?" I asked.

"She was in the back of a trunk. She passed out and is now in a hospital room." Mom told me. She grabbed my hand.

I broke down. They locked my fucking daughter in a trunk.

"Is he dead?"

Mom hesitated.

"He's im critical condition but. . . no he's not dead. He will be sent to prison as soon as he gets a little better." Mom replied. "Rue I'm so sorry. I didn't get there in time. And Gia-" Mom stood up to walk out the room. She was crying.

Gia! No she couldn't be dead! No!

I cried. The worst part is reliving everything. And everyone you lost. Maddy, Gia, myself.

Todd?

"Todd?"

"He's alive. Critical injuries but he's alive." Jules explained.

Thank God.

"Rue. I'm sorry for everything. I wish I could take everything back. I do. I-" I stopped Jules.

"We'll figure it out."
