In 1574, it was my last year in France. At the age of 14 I traveled to Scotland to claim my throne. My mother was now imprisoned in England by my cousin Elizabeth. As I was now to be Queen of Scotland I would have to communicate with her. I was traveling to a country that belongs to me but I know nothing of its people. A catholic French queen in a soon to be all Protestant Scotland.

I arrived in Scotland on April 13, 1574. I brought with me three of my best friends who are my lady's in waiting. We have all been raised together since before we could walk. I walk off the ship and step foot for the first time in my country. "Scotland you are now my home." I say and look at my best friends Claude, Margot, and Emilia. We all laugh and get on our horses to make way to Stirling castle.

As I ride through my villages I see my people for the first time, I wave to all as they cheer and clap as we make our way to the castle. We are nearly minutes away from Stirling castle after traveling for 2 hours.

"Your majesty, welcome to Stirling Castle." The guards bow to me and help with my luggage. "Claude, what do you think of the village people? Do you think they will like me?" I look at her and she grabs my hand "Your majesty, not only will they like you but they will love you. You are kind and will be a fair ruler." We walk into Stirling castle and I am greeted by my privy council who has been ruling Scotland for the past four years since the death of my Uncle.
