It was freezing. The cool breeze nipped at your skin as you shuddered in the wind.

Snow was falling and it led up to your ankles, you needed to get home, as fast as possible.

You unlocked the door to your apartment, and shivered.

You looked to see Renee sitting on the couch. She glanced at you, and looked away.

But quickly looked back at your freezing state.

She rushed to you.

"Y/N? You've been outside this entire time?" She asked, worried.

You didn't have the strength to speak, so you simply nodded.

She grabbed the blanket from on top of their basket, and wrapped it around your body.

She ran some hot water in the tub for you, and started to boil something warm to drink.

You giggled as she ran around, panicked, looking for anything to keep you warm.

You slid your wet shoes and socks off, and put your wet things down.

You laughed again. "I'm okay, babe, stop panicking.."

"What do you mean stop panicking? You could have a fever or something worse!"

She grabbed you, and pushed you on the beanbags by the fireplace. She set down two mugs of hot cocoa.

"Here, come closer." She said.

You snuggled up next to her warm body, and closed your eyes. Her hands rubbed your arms up and down, warming you up almost instantly.

You listened to the cracking of the fire, and the harsh winds outside.

She handed you a mug and you gently sipped the warm beverage.

"What were you doing out there anyway..?" She asked you.

"I was on my way back from the park, earlier it wasn't this cold so I thought I could go for a stroll.."

She scoffed.

"I told you it would be cold this morning, but noo. You didn't listen."

"Yeah, yeah.."

You pouted, but you knew it was okay. Whenever she lectured you, it was because she cared.

You slipped a kiss on her pale cheek, and giggled when she softly blushed.

"Thanks babe."

"It's my job to take care of my girlfriend, isn't it?" She said.

You hummed quietly, closing your eyes once more and enjoying her warm embrace.
