I lay in bed, looking at the clock. I pull back the covers and hoist myself up from my bed, walking into the bathroom, I look in the mirror and wipe my face before walking back out into my bedroom, looking at the suitcase set up at the end of my bed, I sigh and dig into my dresser, pulling out black, military combat pants and a camo shirt, tugging the clothing over my body, I grab my phone and hear a small knock on my bedroom door.

"What do you want Chelsey?" I ask, but the door opens and a small, feline-like fur walks in, short and extremely young. "Oh...hey Xander. You should go back to mommy, don't want to get in trouble again." I say and the small boy looks up and smiles, then waddles his way out of the room. I pocket my phone and my wallet before grabbing the suitcase, I walk out of my room, closing the door and locking it with my keys.

A wolf walks around the corner and stops, looking up at me, her eyes a deep blue color, her hair brown and wavy. "Michael...you're leaving?" She asks and I scoff, continuing to walk towards the door, I feel a hand on my arm and pull mine away, causing the female to step back with a worried look before it changes to mild disgust. "Well not like it fucking matters..." She mutters and I growl, walking out the door, I make my way to my car and open it, tossing the suitcase into the back, I set my head on the top of the car and sigh.

I don't know why, but it felt wrong to up and leave without telling her why, but it wouldn't make a difference, even I did tell her, even if I didn't, she wouldn't care. Having a sister like mine, you would understand, having to deal with the mutters of insults, but I got past it...eventually. I walk around to the driver's side and get into the car.

I rev the engine a bit before pulling out and I headed down the road, heading in the opposite direction of the city, soon picking up speed, practically racing down the country roads. I rolled down my window and smile as I feel the wind press against my face, my shirt tight to my body, and I look ahead to see another car, entirely black driving down the road, with an odd license plate.

"What the? Damn, he's driving slow, and not even proper plates? Wait a minute..." I look closer at the car and noticed a tag on the license plate. "American Armed...oooooh...there heading to USSIDA too..." I mutter, looking somewhat surprised, I pull forward after them and my phone buzzes, I at first ignore it until I notice my car slowing down, I sigh. Forgot about the password confirmation.

I pull out my phone and read the screen, a text from a masked and most likely encrypted number, I read the text.

Name: Michael Penn

Position: Former guard and retrieval group.
Password: _______

I look at the phone and then slowly start typing in Melancholy, hitting send, I wait and then it dings and my car roars back to life, I sigh with content and start driving, soon finding my way over a hill to a large building, with cars entering and leaving, helicopters planted on pads outside of large bay doors, and even large tankers positioned at the ready for transportation of large personnel groups. I pull into the lot and start towards the back, finding few cars, I park and get out, to be met with two people, a slender and female blue jay, and a tall, yet skinny cat, with a flicking tail, they both had serious faces on and I look down to them, cocking my head curiously. The blue jay looks to the cat before speaking.

"Michael Penn, born in December, you have worked for USSIDA before, I take it?" She asks and I nod, then she continues. "Good. So for today we're gonna do a medical check and a set of quick training courses and other checks here and there, alright?" She asks and I nod again, fetching my suitcase from the back of my car, I look back to the cat and he seems nervous now, or at least on edge.

We find a way inside and I notice the cat run off quickly, his tail twitching nervously, but I shrug it off and turn back to the blue jay. "That was Ross. He's been on edge for quite a while now, ever since Rowan practically up and jumped out a window. Almost literally. I'm Louise." She says and I smile and look around.

"USSIDA has changed quite a while since I was here last," I say quietly, looking around before I notice Louise stop in front of a rather large doorway, it opens and it's a decent-sized bedroom, like mine back at home, with a bunk closer to the back of the room, and multiple different cabinets scattered in a few places, a closet close to the entrance of the room. I walk in and set my suitcase on the lower bunk.

It didn't take long for me to get used to the room, and Lousie waves me to follow her again. "Come on, we're gonna do a medical check now," Louise says and I nod, following her to another room, with large white walls, most likely a more than anything sterile room. I rub my arm and ruffle my fur slightly before Louise walks out, leaving me with a small dragon, with round glasses and a long tail and wavy hair.

"Shirt, off." He says quickly and I pull off my shirt, he looks at my bare chest and scratches down a mark on his clipboard before spinning his finger, wanting me to turn around, I look nervously to the door and then nodded, turning to reveal my scarred and war-torn back, he looks for a while before marking down on his board.

The medical tests didn't take long, and I walk out towards the training rooms, but I hear yelling and look around before finding a group at the end of the hall, I walk down and try to get a look into it, two people brawling on the ground, one a tall terrier mix, the other a short, and quick wolf, with deep grey fur and some purple tints in his fur.. I look closer and shake my head before heading back towards the training room.
