Forth took in several deep breaths to try and calm himself down, searching for the confidence to actually go talk to his senior.

Wad had been much happier and much more engaged with the freshmen in the second half of the year and moved to head hazer for Forth's sophomore year. It was amazing to see him work so well with the underclassmen, and Forth was looking forward to taking his place next year.

He wanted to talk to him and get his advice on how he should act to be as good a hazer as Wad and Kongpob had been.

"Forth! Hey, Forth!"

The boy turned to see his friend Phana walk towards him with Beam, Kit, and Lam right in tow. He sighed in defeat, his eyes turning toward Wad one last time to see him packing his stuff into his bag to leave.

At this rate, Wad was going to graduate before Forth got a word in edgewise. He never even showed up to the hazer meetings that much.

"Hi guys," Forth replied to his friends, looking dejected as they stopped in front of him.

"What's wrong?" Phana asked.

"Ah, he's been trying to talk to P'Wad about basketball and hazing for the past six months," Lam answered, shaking his head, "Every time, he stumbled over something and P'Wad got away."

Forth leaned against the wall and crossed his arms over his chest.

"How am I supposed to get his attention if someone else always is looking for it?" Forth asked, looking at the ground.

His friends looked at each other, but they knew well that he didn't mean to sound so bitter toward them. He was frustrated and upset, especially considering the hazing season was over and Wad was going to be focusing a lot more on his studies as well as basketball and a lot less on the people around him.

Wad was a great hazer, not as amazing as Kongpob but he had his best friend to coach him as best as he could. That mixed with his skills in basketball made him an unparalleled enigma of Engineering that said no more words to anyone than they had spoken to him.

He was silently famous across the entire university.

"Why don't you just go talk to him?" Phana asked, "Look, he's even walking this way."

Wad's earbuds were in and he was looking down at his phone, but Phana was right. He was walking directly toward the group and Forth felt his heart beat in anticipation.

He pushed himself off the wall and stepped in front of Wad, making the male stop.

Wad looked up from his phone and pulled his earbuds out, looking at his junior with an indifferent stare.

"Sawasdee, P'Wad," Forth spoke as he waiied to his senior, forcing his voice to remain stable. He had never gotten nervous in hazing or talking to anyone before, but this senior was a legend, right next to Kongpob.

Any misstep and Forth could end up on the bad side of the Engineering faculty quickly.

Wad nodded back at his junior and Forth breathed out briskly before talking, "I wanted to talk to you about something."

Forth could feel his friends' eyes on his back and he tried to use it as confidence until Wad turned his indifferent stare into a cold one as he looked at Forth's friends.

They waiied to Wad, but when he kept the stare without saying anything, they knew what he wanted. Forth turned to watch them leave, but Lam and Phana mouthed words of encouragement before they left.

Forth's attention turned back to Wad, who warmed up and relaxed his shoulders. It was like he had physically stepped out of a personality.

"Hi Forth, what can I help you with?"
