Prem told Arthit about what had happened, hoping the hazers would agree with dealing with the disrespect of the freshmen. But Arthit, to add onto Prem's bad mood, had told him that it was his problem and he needed to deal with it.
Knott reasoned with the younger that Arthit had enough on his plate at the moment anyway, between that junior that was annoying him and keeping his head cool enough for the fourth-year hazers to allow him to keep his position. He told Prem to find out the name of the junior and work from there instead of blindly going in.
But Prem didn't want to think. The thought of someone disrespecting him made him annoyed and frustrated.
Hell, if they just punished them now and got it over with, the disrespect wouldn't happen again. That would solve Arthit's problem with Kongpob as well.
Why was everyone making this into a bigger deal than it needed to be?
------------------------------------
Prem hated to admit that the others were right but there was no other choice now.
He stood in front of a bunch of uncomfortable freshmen as Wad left the auditorium with no intention of coming back.
He'd insulted the younger too harshly, he saw the look in Wad's eyes snap from neutral annoyance to anger and sorrow the moment he mentioned Wad's parents. He knew right then and there he'd crossed a line but only justified it with the words, "Get the fuck out!" after Wad had retaliated one too many times.
The other freshmen watched Wad go.
Even if they didn't know who Wad was before this, before Engineering, before SOTUS, they wanted to know if Wad was going to be okay.
Sure he was a big boy, and Kongpob could clearly see Wad was more than capable of taking care of himself, but no one takes insults about their family lightly.
Prem knew Wad would be crying that night. He knew the feeling too well.
------------------------------------------
Prem was disappointed not to see Wad at any gathering after he'd yelled at him, but he certainly wasn't surprised. As it turns out, Arthit wasn't pleased with Prem's actions and scolded and punished him for what he said.
That was unnecessary, as Prem was already punishing himself for saying it.
The SOTUS gathering had lost a good chunk of the freshmen from Wad leaving, which surprised the hazers, Prem especially. He'd heard about Wad from a few other people that vaguely remembered going to school with him and Wad didn't seem to hold any influence over other people whatsoever.
Prem made it his mission to silently find out where his junior disappeared to. However, the only obstacle blocking him from doing that was his sense of pride.
He'd said the words, he obviously couldn't take them back, and if he did find Wad and apologized to him in front of everyone, that would make him a mockery.
Everyone would laugh at him...
"Prem! Will you snap out of it?"
Prem's eyes had been glazed over and now turned to Knott, who was staring at him with a concerned look behind his emotionless face. They had decided to go out for lunch but Arthit said that he couldn't make it, something to do with homework.
"Sorry, Knott," he apologized, picking up the spoon and going to continue eating his food, "What were you saying?"
Knott rolled his eyes. What was up with everyone lately?
Bright was questioning if he should drop out or not, Arthit was going through an identity crisis with Kongpop, and here Prem was with next to nothing of his normal self.
