Prem didn't understand.

It worked so well every other time that he's tried to get people to forgive him. He usually didn't have to say anything more with Bright and Arthit, and with Knott and Tutah even, that approach always worked.

Why was Wad so different? Why was he so damn willing to fight all the time?

He walked in with the other hazers, watching as they checked the sign-ups for the competition.

Honestly, Prem never got too excited about competitions like these, they never made sense to him why anyone would care. But when Arthit had the freshmen come over to talk, his eyes noticed Wad instantly.

He could see how tense some of Wad's friends got the moment Wad opened his mouth.

Prem's kinder personality went out the window and was replaced by the arrogant asshole that had talked Wad out of being in SOTUS in the first place.

Wad wasn't afraid to fight and that was something that deep down, was scaring Prem. He was worried why Wad was so willing to fight when he knew that he might lose.

Did it have something to do with that guy that threatened Wad back at the basketball court?

Prem was so annoyed that Knott had to pull him to the side after they were heading back to the dorms to talk to him personally.

"What the hell, Prem? You were supposed to talk to him."

"I did," Prem huffed, "He didn't want to listen and didn't want to have a conversation. He's attending classes again, though."

"That doesn't solve the problem, Prem," Knott said, stopping and putting a hand on Prem's shoulder, "He's already got the confidence of some of these freshmen. Kong is very popular and Wad's right behind him. If you and Wad continue to fight, we'll have an all-out war on our hands until we graduate. Do you understand me?"

Prem nodded. The last thing he wanted was to fight with a large group of freshmen that hate him because he can't keep his arrogance in check when he's in front of Wad and other people.

"What is it about Wad that the freshmen like? I don't get it," Prem sighed, tucking his hands in his pockets.

Knott did the same and the two started walking with each other to catch up with the rest of their friends.

"Wad's got that bad boy aura around him, doesn't he?" Knott questioned.

"But Arthit's 0062 kid has the same one," Prem explained, "But Kong's got a bigger following, people are more loyal, right?"

Knott nodded. "That's odd as well, isn't it? Well, Wad's also got that mysterious charm. He's also a lot more willing to fight us than Kongpob is. Kong will argue until the sun goes down but I have the feeling that Wad will throw punches if someone just wastes his time."

"Hey! We're having a beer at Bright's! You two coming?"

Tutah had called to them and Knott called back that they wanted to, both hurrying up their speed to get to him as soon as possible.

"Prem! Prem, oh my god, you'll never guess who is on the basketball team for the competition!"

Prem looked up from the textbook to stare at Knott, confused. He was never this happy about anything, what the hell had just happened to the emotionless, wise senior?

"Who?" Prem guessed.

"Wad!"

Prem's heart lept and Knott tried not to smirk as he watched Prem's eyes light up. "Really?" Prem asked, trying to keep himself calm enough not to go and hug and congratulate the younger.
