Chapter 10 - Joey... Stop It... But For Real, Stop It

Joel really wished he was seeing real Joey, and not fake Joey. If it was real Joey, he could punch him in the face and tell him to leave his girlfriend alone.

If Joey wasn't hiding behind a screen to bully him, Joey would have a broken nose.

But, Joey was unfortunately a coward, in Joel's opinion, and was using his computer to hurt Joel.

Just like the comment sections on YouTube videos...

Joel wanted to scream, book a flight to LA, call in every favor with any person in the entirety of the United States, and show up at Joey's house with an army of angry YouTubers.

Actually, Joel wished he could have the power to teleport. That way it would take even less time.

Unfortunately, all of these things were out of the question. Some were impossible, and the rest would take more than an hour to execute.

So Joel did the next best thing: He got on Scott's Secret Chicken Server and joined the voice chat.

"I'm going to kill him."

"Ahhh! Jesus!" Scott screamed, surprised by Joel's arrival.

"I'm going to fly to LA and just straight up murder him."

"I'm with you." Shelby had also joined the voice chat unannounced.

"We can't kill Joey..." Britt, the voice of reason told them. "No matter how much I wish we could."

"HE'S THE REASON LIZZIE IS HURTING!" Joel exclaimed.

"I know, Joel. We all know." Kyle sighed.

"So wait, what happened?" Yammy asked.

"Is everyone here?" Shelby asked.

"Everyone is here except Stacy." Scott told them.

"Get her on here." Joel shook his head.

"She might be asleep..." Yammy pointed out.

"Dude, it's like 10:30 where she is..." Shelby sighed. "She isn't asleep. I'll message her."

It was three minutes later when Stacy joined.

"Hey guys, I was recording a DogCraft episode. What's the Lizzie emergency now?" Stacy asked.

"Stacy, I'm sorry but we are murdering your best friend." Shelby deadpanned.

"What? Wait... Which one?"

"Joey." Shelby responded.

"Eh, he probably deserves it." Stacy said, causing basically everyone to burst into hysterics. When everyone calmed down, she continued. "So what did he do this time?"

"He's causing Lizzie to become crazy." Joel stated.

"Basically, he is manipulating her through her cats to be less trusting and to care less about anything other than One Life." Shelby explained.

"We have an hour." Joel added.

"He what?!" Stacy exclaimed. "Does Daniel know?"

"This is why we called you. We figured you'd know what to do." Scott said, ashamed that he hadn't thought of telling Daniel himself.

"I don't have a full plan. I have part of a plan. What was that about us having an hour?"

"Joey has asked Joel to join him, threatening that if Joel doesn't, he'll just keep manipulating Lizzie." Britt explained.

"I'm gonna kill him." Yammy muttered.

"We all want to murder him, Yammy, but we can't do that." Kyle pointed out, trying his best to calm his greatly angered wife.

"Alright, well you obviously have to join him. We can't risk Lizzie getting worse." Stacy told the group.

"But-" Yammy exclaimed.

"Look, Joel really doesn't have a choice but to play along with Joey for now. If he doesn't, we'll lose a lot of leverage and any advantage that we had with Callum pretending to be Buddy." Stacy stated the facts.

"So Callum remains as Buddy... Joel works for Joey... What then?" Scott asked.

"We talk to Daniel." Stacy said. "He probably isn't going to be too thrilled to hear that Joey is being manipulative and conniving."

"I wouldn't be happy if I found out Kyle was hurting his friends for his own personal gain." Yammy stated. "-Not that you would ever do that or anything."

"I wouldn't." Kyle agreed.

"Right, as for right now, Joel has to tell Joey that he will do as Joey says. We can't risk Lizzie getting worse than she already is, while we try to get Joey to stop hurting her."

"Alright. I'll go let him know." Joel nodded.

"We will take care of the rest." Stacy reassured him.

I'm on time! I know! Shocker! I am working hard to finish the story, and things are crazy (I'm kinda a few chapters ahead in the writing process, as I need to give my editor time to read them before they are meant to be published.
