Joey stumbles forward. Suddenly the world comes crashing around him as he realizes what he has done. But how? How could he have let it go this far?
"It's okay." Lizzie says softly, reaching out to catch him. Tears pour down Joey's face, and Lizzie is reminded of how Joel was there for her when she finally came back to her senses. "It'll be alright. It's all over now."
Stacy takes the first initiative to do anything. She runs down the stairs and comes up next to Lizzie to help the girl support Joey's weight. Lizzie leads them to carefully sit down onto the floor.
Mariel is next to respond, grabbing Shelby's hand. Shelby, still being in shock from Joey giving up so easily when presented with Daniel, allows Mariel to lead her down the stairs. Mariel walks past Lizzie, Joey, and Stacy, and goes to open up the door.
"Lizzie." Joel whispers, rushing past Mariel and shocked Shelby and joining the floor people. He places a hand on Lizzie's shoulder, and it's okay.
It's going to be okay.
It's all over.
