"I can't remember the last time I got my nails done." Claire muttered sitting next to Rebekah in the living room of Klaus's mansion. Finn stood a little bit to her left getting his suit tailored along with Kol, though he stood more in front of her by the full length mirror. Then Elijah stood off to the side, shinning his shoes. She didn't know where Klaus is and knew Henrik was off changing into his suit to be tailored next. Her younger brothers, Asher and Archie, were also here getting fitted for their suits. Finally, there was little Madelyn who is in her playpen not giving anybody but herself the time of day.
Tonight Esther wanted to have a ball for the town. She expected everyone to behave and dress nicely. While Asher was here to please Rebekah, Archie was here simply because Asher made him. Neither of the boys were too fond about being in suits, they didn't give a damn about the ball but if Asher was going to go then he was going to drag Archie with him. Besides, Hanna and Penelope were attending as well and nobody thought it was a good idea to leave Archie home alone.
"Well, that just won't do" Rebekah replies to Claire. "You're a Mikaelson now, love, and us Mikaelson women love and deserve to be pampered." Rebekah smirks at Claire who grins back. "Elijah, you've had Claire the longest, why are you not pampering her?"
"I guess I'll have to step up my game." Elijah responds giving his mate a wink. Claire blushes slightly and grins deeper.
"Rebekah? Tell me how handsome I am." Kol says from in front of the body mirror.
"Oh Kol, you know I can't be compelled... Ask your mate." Rebekah teases. Kol smirks and spins on his heels. "Well, gorgeous? How do I look?" He asks smirking at her.
"Mischievously handsome." Kol's smirk turns more devious. He gives her a wink and she returns it playfully.
"You went after Elena?" Klaus snapped marching into the room glaring at Rebekah. "What is wrong with you?" He snapped.
"Hello to you too, babe" Claire mutters sarcastically. Klaus relaxes slightly and smiles at her.
"Hello, sweetheart" He mutters before looking at Rebekah pointedly. "Do you want another dagger in your heart?" He wondered.
"Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?" Kol asks sitting on the arm of the chair beside him.
"Oh, go back to staring at yourself." Klaus rolls his eyes.
"And who are you, my father?" Kol asked tilting his head.
"No, Kol, but you're in my house" Klaus snapped marching closer to him.
"Then perhaps we should go outside" Kol threatens going toe to toe. Claire sighs standing up. She gets in between them much to Finn and Elijah's discomfort. Compared to them, Claire is extremely fragile and easily hurt. Neither of them wanted Kol nor Klaus to hurt her in a fit of rage.
"Alright, ladies, no need to bring out the claws." Claire said pressing her hand on their chests. Her simple touch calming the rage in their veins. "Klaus, stop threatening your family. Kol, quit picking fights." She said in an almost bored tone. This wasn't the first fight between the two of them that she's stopped... Kol hasn't been undaggered for an entire day yet.
