"Why isn't anything working!?" Asher snapped standing up from the table so quickly, the chair flew backwards. Penelope flinched at her brothers anger. She's never seen him like this, not once, and it made her nervous.
"Whatever protection spell he has over her is very strong." Hanna said upset that their attempts to locate Rebekah have all been in vain.
"Ash, we're going to find her. You have my word" Claire said walking over to him. He paces slightly and glances at her. "Ash, don't forget that they don't just have Rebekah. They also have Kol and Finn. Two of my mates. If you think I'm not going to put in all my effort to find them you're wrong." Asher glances at her again. He relaxes slightly knowing they were in the same boat. "We're not the only ones looking for them. They're Mikaelson's, they're my mates brothers and sister, they take protectiveness to a whole new level. If we don't find them, they will. It's only a matter of time. The world is only so big and we have people looking under every rock and in every crevice" She promises him.
"I just..." Asher groans running his hand through his hair in a frustrated manner.
"I know" She whispered hugging him tightly. "Trust me, I know" He sighs gripping her.
"Hey, why don't we go play video games or something?" Archie suggests. He didn't like this. He felt helpless. He wanted to find Rebekah for his brother. He had seen them together. It was obvious the Mikaelson is the center of his world and without her, his world was caving in.
"Just try and relax, Ash. Losing your temper isn't going to help." Hanna said. Asher rolls his eyes and marches off to the basement. Archie sighed and followed after him.
"Hey, Penny" Claire said sitting beside her little sister. "You alright?"
"Why do they keep doing this?" She asked. Claire tilts her head slightly. "Elena and the others. First they take Elijah and now they've taken Rebekah, Finn and Kol."
"They take them for their own selfish needs." Claire tells them. "They do this because it helps them and their plans, they don't care about the consequences it has on others. They just care about themselves. But we're going to get Rebekah, Finn and Kol back and we're going to be fine."
"I hope I don't find my mate." Penelope whispers.
"Why would you say that?" Claire asks frowning her eyebrows.
"Because what if I find him and he gets taken? Then I'm like Asher and I don't want that." Penelope whispers. Claire sighs pulling her into a hug. She glances at Hanna and could see the anger in her eyes. Penelope had every right to fantasize about having a mate but she was too young to have worries like this. They all were.
