"Well, that was an eventful evening" Kol comments leaning against the doorway watching Claire put Madelyn down.
"And of course it was more Elena and Tyler drama" Claire grumbles rolling her eyes.
Firstly, Tyler and Hayley try to get to Madelyn. Then, while Claire is enjoying herself with Caroline her mates swarm in and herd her away. Apparently Jeremy lost his marbles and attacked Elena.
While it was only Jeremy attacking Elena, her mates weren't going to risk Jeremy causing a scene with trying to attack them or get to Claire, despite her not being a vampire.
Kol frowns slightly. He knew Claire was enjoying herself and he hated to have her day had been ruined. He had given into his primal desire to hunt during the party so he hadn't witnessed the ordeal with Tyler and Hayley but from what heard from his brothers it was quite a scene.
"The night's still young, darling" Kol said. "We can do anything you want." He says. Claire smiles down at Madelyn. She had heard Kol but at the same time she was too deep in her thoughts to understand the fact that he was talking to her.
She didn't trust Tyler and Hayley. She couldn't stop thinking about her interaction with them. It was obvious that Hayley had pushed, or dragged, him into the confrontation but she knew it he truly wanted too he could have gotten out of her grip and stayed away.
"You can't keep them separated forever"
"Watch me"

"So, you're too much of a coward to do it yourself?... I never pegged you as a coward."
Claire wondered if she had the strength, the courage to actually pull through with her threat. The threat that promises Tyler and Hayley's demise should they stay in town, should they come close to her daughter.
Tyler has done plenty of things to Claire. He's abandoned Madelyn, multiple times. He's abandoned herself, multiple times. He's cheated, lied and bullied her. He's turned the town against her, while she was pregnant. He had the nerve to get involved with her sister and then do the same to Caroline as he did to her, minus the knocking up part.
There isn't a bone in Claire's body that trusts Tyler. Even if she gives into her kinder side and allows Tyler to see Madelyn, to have a relationship with her, who's to say he won't up and leave one day? Abandon Madelyn for his own selfish needs again. She's given him that chance before and he took the little trust she had for him and demolished it when he left town with the werewolf, Jules.
