Sports Festival IV

Next up was Tokoyami and Yaoyorozu. (wifeyyyy)

I know this isn't very nice of me, but I'm internally rooting for Yaoyorozu because she's so nice and she's quite skilled, especially since her quirk gives her nice advantages.

On the other hand, Tokoyami is also really skilled considering his quirk can be used for both offense and defense, which is really convenient for different kinds of situations.

That still doesn't change the fact that I believe in Yaoyorozu, though!

The match started.

Tokoyami started with a direct approach - having dark shadow attack Yaoyorozu with minimal force.

She quickly reacted by creating a shield at front, which was then thrown out again due to the attacks.

The created a new one and continued to receive multiple blows, which then led her to being pushed out of bounds.

It looked like she didn't notice, because she created a weapon right after that.

Only then did she find out when Midnight claimed that she was out of bounds, and when Present Mic announced Tokoyami's "overwhelming victory".

Her puzzled expression then turned to a sorrowful one as she slowly walked away, back to our area.

"Yaoyorozu.." I looked at her.

"Hey... Are you okay?" Jiro asked.

"No, it's okay. You guys don't need to comfort me. It's my fault that I wasn't able to make it through his attacks."

"And Y/n, it's not fair if I get to call you by your first name and you don't get to call me by mine. Call me Momo." Her gaze landed on me, which was followed by a warm smile.

"A-Alright."

Next up was Kirishima vs Iron Man- (oh god I hate myself) I mean Steel guy.

And I gotta say, that was entertainment right there.

Both of their quirks were equally the same, so both of their attacks were tolerable for each other.

After landing multiple hits on each other, they eventually got exhausted, ending the match with a draw.

Finally, it was the last match for the first portion of the Tournament.

The next ones to battle were Ochaco and Bakugo. I'm not one to talk, but I get the feeling that most people around me find this pair incompatible.

Ochaco, a cute, innocent girl - Battling against Bakugo, a fucking hellbound asshat.

I'd say not to underestimate Ochaco, though. She's done well during training.

Though she has been fidgety this whole time. I guess it's understandable since she's going against a psychopathic Hedgehog.

After a few moments, the battle began.

Ochaco made the first move by charging at Bakugo, hoping to get him with her quirk. Unfortunately it didn't end so well since Bakugo used an explosion to send her back.

The smoke from the explosion covered Bakugo's field of view, though he saw Ochaco.

He reached down to grab her, only to find out that it was her jacket that he caught. Ochaco made a surprise attack by trying to attack him from behind while he was off-guard, which backfired since Bakugo has excellent reflexes, much like Mina.

Ochaco, was again, knocked back. This time Bakugo was the one to charge with more attacks coming right at her.

This caused the crowd - including the pro heroes - to despise Bakugo, claiming that he's going too harsh on her.

Little did they know that there were piles of debris stacked above the area.

Monoma explains - from the other side of the bleachers - that Ochaco continues to bolt at Bakugo because she uses it as a way to prevent Bakugo from noticing her plan.

Atleast he's not all that dumb.

Luckily for her, the crowd hasn't pointed it out enough for Bakugo to notice, which caused the plan to finally play out.

Hundreds of debris came falling from the sky, which means Bakugo had to make a move.

Using this as a distraction, Ochaco attempts to charge at him once again, but sadly failed due to Bakugo's big explosion which destroyed both the debris and knocked her away.

The smoke cleared up, revealing a heavily wounded Ochaco sprawled on the ground.

She made a faint attempt to approach Bakugo, but her body was too beat up.

This results in Ochaco's bitter defeat.

"Dang.." Jiro comments.

"Such sorrow." Momo says with a sad expression.

"Man, I can't believe the crowd was dumb enough to overlook her plan, though." I add.

"I mean, it was really hard to see through. This battle looked eye-catching to most of the audience, so it was predictable for them to put all their focus on the battle itself." Tsuyu explained.

"Didn't think they'd be focused enough to start boo-ing at someone for trying to win." Said Jiro.

And with that, the first round of the Tournament was concluded.

The recent match was sad, but the next made up for it.

More entertainment for me.

Kirishima and Steel Guy had the tie breaker, which was an arm wrestling match.

The two were free to use their quirks in order to win the match.

However, due to both not only having equal quirks, but also equal strength, it was another push-till-the-other-guy-gets-tired match.

Fortunately - for me - Kirishima won this round, letting him move on to the finals.

I then looked over to the other side of the bleachers, trying to catch Monoma's attention.

"Hey. Hey. Monoma. Psst."

He stood silent. He also seemed to be avoiding eye contact.

"Didn't you say something earlier? What was it now... 'We still have tricks up our sleeve'? WELL YOU BETTER THINK AGAIN CAUSE YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF 'EM!"

"Wait- What's going on?" Jiro asked in the background.

Monoma began to laugh maniacally for I think the 4th time today? And opened up his mouth.

"WE'RE NOT DONE YET, DUMBASS. WE STILL HAVE ONE MORE PIECE TO ATTACK WITH, AND IT'S--"

A chop on the neck.

"Uhm.. Do you two know each other?" The orange-haired girl asked.

"Sh... She's my m-mortal enemy.." Monoma managed to say under his breath.

"I mean, he's not wrong." I replied with a smug look on my face.

"But he totally owes me. Right, pal?" My gaze shifts to the blonde who's a few inches apart from the ground, trying to keep himself conscious.

"NO WAY IN HELL!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAKDKDJDJDZM"

"I don't really get what's going on, but uhm.. Please keep him sane while you're with him. It's difficult to always hit him every once in a while. I'm Kendo by the way."

"L/n, please call me Y/n, Kendo." I smiled at her.
