"So tell me the deat's," Saira spoke. She was sitting cross-legged on her own bed hugging a pillow. Plastered on her face was a gigantic grin that a five-year-old had when they got given their favorite piece of candy.
"What deat's there aren't any deat's," Eveline looked away trying to hide her blush. "Oh come on! You can't fool me. The way you and Luke look at each other, It's undeniable,"
Eveline hid a small smile forming on her lips. "I'm supposed to be painting your nails. Which color?" Eveline held up two different nail colors. "The one pink one. Now come on you and Luke are a thing aren't you?!" Saira's smile got larger as she continued about her little girlie talk.
"Well, he hasn't asked anything and I don't even know how he feels about me," Eveline had thought the question over many times. Was there something between them? It confused her back and forward. She wanted a relationship with Luke, she felt the chemistry between them. The bigger question was, did he?
"I'm sure he has feelings for you, The way he looks at you is the way Carter looks at me. If you two weren't werewolves I would say you were mates." A giggle left Saira's mouth. She sat on the edge of the bed and allowed Eveline to paint her fingernails a coral pink.
"Maybe mate isn't the right word," Saira said thinking out loud. Only one word rung in Eveline's head. Soulmate
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Eveline and Saira laughed as the walked down the spiral stairs. "Please you should have seen Luke as a teen he was horrible," Eveline laughed louder as she pictured a hormonal Luke.
They made their way towards the kitchen still chatting loudly not taking notice of a person standing at the bench. "Ahem," Eveline and Saira's laughter came to a halt as they both looked over at the person.
"ISABEL!" Saira ran over to her giving her a big and tight hug. "Your finally back,"
"Yes," She said gently letting go of the hug. "And it seems we have a new member. Are you Jaxon's side chick?" Eveline was shocked by the snobby question that was thrown in her direction. Anger slowly bubbled at the pit of her stomach. Eveline decided for that remark she did not like this girl.
"No, she's with me," Luke said appearing from a hallway and strutted over giving Isabel a hug. "Oh, I'm sorry Luke. I just assumed," She pouted and apologetically looked at him.
"Eveline this is Isabel, She's been out for a while on a business trip in Paris for her modeling," Eveline gave her a genuine smile. Ok, so she decided not to judge her first comment and put it behind her.
Isabel returned the smile but not as genuinely as Eveline did. "I honestly missed you all so much, even Jaxon and I hate to say that," She let out what sounded like a fake laugh in Eveline's ears.
Isabel was a gorgeous girl, to say the least. No wonder she was a model. Her long black shiny hair went straight down her back and moved around gently reflecting the light occasionally. She had pale skin and green eyes that mixed with bits of blues here and there.
She was tall and had clothes the clung tight to her exposing all her body features. Eveline tried to focus on her aura but something blocked it. No matter how hard she squinted she couldn't make out the color that was around her. Eveline had never had this trouble before, she put it at the back of her mind and figured it was no big deal.
