Sokill's royal palace
The queen was seated at her vanity, she hummed a sad long tune. It represented the mood she was feeling: Forlorn. Coretta gently glided the brush through her brown silky soft hair and she let out a depressing long sigh.
She missed her husband dearly, he had traveled to Ecdet to discuss business to the Lycan king. Leading into war people could sense the dark times coming, the whole kingdom appeared more tense, the anticipation of what was coming.
Only has there ever been one war recorded in the history of the realms. The one war that divided and split creatures, that was how Sokill, Ecdet, Idron, and Earth were formed.
Generally, Sokill never got involved in fights outside of their realm, but due to extreme circumstances, they were forced to get involved. Joel was meeting with the king to discuss their plans for wars, no one wanted to side with idron due to its bad reputation and likely hood of backstabbing. But that didn't make the upcoming war any less risky, Idron alone still had plenty of supporters for the war from smaller realms.
Coretta looked at herself in the clean mirror. Her hazel eyes swirled differently, they looked glossier she felt like crying and the small lump in her throat was still there from the last time. Her caramel skin looked worn down on her face from lack of sleep. She had forgotten what a full night of rest felt like.
"Coretta?" Domiel spoke after knocking on the door. "Yes, please come in," She replied in her melodic voice. He gently opened the door and stepped inside. His gold and white armor glinted and reflected from the candles in her room.
"Your majesty, Joel sent a letter," Coretta stood up quickly and strolled over to him. "Thank you," She sent a small smile and he handed her the letter, turning on his heel and exited the room. Eagerly Coretta opened the letter and began to read.
'My dear love,
How I miss you so much, It has been hard-pressed with so much business. Cedric and Celia are doing well, they have been stressed with the amount of planning, but me being here is certainly helping. Things are moving along and it seems the war is inevitable. I hope to see you soon, I miss you, my queen.
Sincerely, the love of your life,Joel'
Coretta smiled at the letter. She could picture his strong masculine voice as she read the words in her head. It was as if he was there reading it to her, himself. His voice in her head soothed her and she was able to relax slightly.
Idron wanted Ecdets land, they always fought with the realms, it seemed following rules was an issue for them. How she prayed the war didn't have to happen but it seemed that there was no choice.

Eveline stared at her plate with a twisted concerned look on her face. "Uh... what is it suppose to be?" She tried to ask nicely. Carter pulled back offended. "Roadkill," Luke muffled under his breath, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"It's a reindeer," Carter said looking down hurt by the mean comment. It was Christmas day and the group of friends sat at the long dining table eating pancakes made by Carter. He had attempted to shape them Christmas themed, only his plans hadn't gone so well.
"They taste good babe, just ignore them," Saira said gently stroking his back in reassurance. Jaxon and Luke gave each other a look across the table, that insinuated they didn't agree.
Callie was already on her fourth pancake and still smashing through. Any pancake tasted good to her and food was food. Carter smiled gently at her appreciative that she liked them at least.
