Dallon parks the car in the parking lot of the Target near his and Brendon's house and he gets out, helping Brendon get out too. He looks at his little, who just smiles at him.

"Brendon, listen to me real good right now, okay?" Dallon asks, wanting to have Brendon's full attention.

"I's listening, daddy." "Good. Please don't walk away from me when we walk into the store, okay? I want you to stay with me, so I don't lose you."

Brendon nods and holds his daddy's hand.

"I's gonna stay with you, daddy." "Good boy. Now let's go get cookie dough."

Brendon cheers a bit and giggles.

They walk inside and Dallon grabs a cart, keeping his eyes on Brendon because he knew that Brendon really liked wandering through the store. It wouldn't really be the first time that he lost Brendon in a store.

"Daddy, can I get candy?" Brendon asks, after what has to be 10 seconds in the store and Dallon shakes his head.

"We've got candy at home," he says and Brendon pouts.

"Okay...Can I get cookies?" "We're gonna make cookies at home, remember, little one?" Dallon asks and Brendon nods.

"I forgots, daddy."

Dallon smiles at his little and puts him in the cart. Brendon just holds Dally the giraffe and looks around, as they go to the right aisle.

Dallon grabs some cookie dough and puts it in the cart, next to Brendon.

"Daddy does need to get us some other groceries," he says and Brendon nods, playing with his stuffed animal.

Dallon just gets all sorts of things that he needs and when they walk past the frozen foods, Brendon points at the ice cream.

"Daddy, I want strawberry ice cream!" He exclaims and Dallon gestures for him to be a bit quieter.

"There are other people in the store, baby, you've got to be a bit quieter." "I's sorry, daddy..."

Dallon kisses Brendon's forehead.

"It's okay. Daddy will get you some strawberry ice cream, okay?"

Brendon claps his hands and cheers a little, making Dallon smile a little.

"You are adorable, little one," he says and Brendon giggles at him.

They go to the check-out and Dallon smiles at the cashier, who scans all his items and looks at Brendon, who's still sitting in the cart, playing with Dally and then she looks back at Dallon.

"Is he okay?" She asks and Dallon nods.

"Yeah, he is. Why?" Dallon asks, genuinely curious and the cashier shrugs.

"He just looks a little tired, is all," she explains.

"He didn't take his nap, this afternoon. I think that he's tired because of that."

The cashier nods and smiles.

"Alright. Well, your total is $34.50."

Dallon hands the cashier the money and she gives him his change.

"Have a nice day, sir," she says and Dallon smiles at her.

"You too!"
