"The Truth" Chapter Nine

    It's been a week since then.
    A while ago I finally got my phone call.
    A guard had to sit in front of me, keeping a very close watch, though. 
    Overhaul threatened that if I told anybody that I had been kidnapped, he'd hunt them down and eliminate them.
First I quit my job.
    "Oh...well Y/N it was a pleasure to work with you. I wish you well on the rest of your youthful journey to life." My boss said, in a half upset tone. It made me real sad, because I don't think I'll ever find another job with a boss like him.
    Next was Rukia. The thing with her is that when I told her I was "going through something", she knew that begging me to stay wouldn't do good, so she just told me she supported me. She was extremely upset but still wished me well. 
    Through out the entire  goodbye conversation, I could see Rukia and I working together at the cafe, laughing at a stupid joke I told. Hanging out at our apartments, bing watching shows while enjoying snacks. I remember the feeling we shared when we went to the festival, feeling like little kids again.
    These flashbacks put me on the verge of tears, causing my voice to crack as I spoke.
    I was emotional distraught with my best friend. How was I gonna get through with my parents?
    I decided not to. It's actually better if I didn't then force myself. Besides, maybe I'll be able to get another phone call and try again.
     Apparently, me and Eri are the only ones in this place kept against our will. To keep a better eye on the both of us, we were together a lot. We would separate on times when I went to talk with overhaul or Chronostasis would take Eri somewhere I didn't know.
    "Eri?" I call to her as she drew on the table in the middle of the room. She looked at me, giving me her full attention. Her crystal red eyes shining in my direction.
    "Eri, where do you go when Chronostasis calls for you? Can you please tell me?"I asked. Maybe it has to do with the whole reason why she's here.
    Why would they keep a poor 6 year old girl locked up and away from the world anyway?
    Eri was quite for a while. Then she spoke.
    "They take me to the scary room." She said. "I call it that because it's the worst place here. It's dark and there's a machine that makes weird noises."
    "What do you do in there?" I asked, bracing myself for her answer.
    "They...it... there's...um..." I can hear the pain in Eri's words as she struggles to explain.
    I lift off the couch and go towards to sit down next to her. I began to rub her back, trying to comfort her.
    "It's ok. You don't have to tell me. Let's just draw ok?" She nodded, and left it at that.
    I started to think about things that happened the week before. About how Overhaul plans to... uh conceive. I'm running out of time and I need to think of a plan to stop this from happening.
    At his usual time, chrono came in to escort Eri. Probably to the scary room, I thought. I had to know more about what they do to her in that scary room.
    "Chronostasis." I called. He looked towards me letting me know I have his attention.
    "Where do you go with Eri and what do you do with her?" I asked.
    "Now that's non of your business." He bluntly answers.
I grab Eri and hold her close.
If he won't answer me, ill make this conversation a living hell, and give him the worst I could think of.
    "Oh my God are are you sexually abusing her?!"I shouted.
    It was hard to see his facial expression because of the cover up, but the question obviously caught him off guard.
    "That has nothing to do with any of this!"he yelled back, probably getting annoyed.
    "Then tell me what do you do to her now!"
I demanded.
Chronostasis was getting angry, impatient AND annoyed at the same time. Now that was not a good mix.
    "I don't have time for this!" He said as he came over to grab Eri. As he tugged on her I tugged back. 
    "Stop this and let go!" He commanded. His force was pretty strong, I was losing grip and Eri looked like she was on the verg of crying. I had to stop this.
Here goes nothing!
    I put my mouth near his hand, open wide and bared my teeth down on his hand.
    I bit him.
Chrono pulled his hand back and yelped in pain.
    "Ahh! Danmitt you BITCH!" He yelled. Taking his bitten hand trying to rub the pain away.
    Me and Eri backed away to the wall.
After catering to his hand he looked and came storming towards us. I hid Eri behind me preparing for the worst.
    "What the hell is going on in here?"
We heard someone ask.
    We turned to the door to see overhaul. What's he doing here?
    Chronostasis cleared his throat.
    "My apologies boss." He said, straightening up.
   Overhaul looked from chrono, to me and Eri.
    "Eri, why are you acting up now? We do this everyday. Don't act like it's something new. Now let's go." Overhaul commanded.
    I couldn't just let him talk to her like that. I had to step in.
    "She didn't do anything wrong, it was me. I stopped her from leaving." I defended. Overhaul looked my way.
    " sigh* Why are you interfering Y/N?" He asked.
    "I... I just wanted to know where you're taking Eri, and what you do to her there. Where ever that place, is she's obviously scared of it. I not only wonder about that, but why is Eri here at all? Where's her mother? Why isn't she being sent to school? What do you need her for?!"
    I waited for all my questions to be answered.
Overhaul just folded his arms and raised an eyebrow.
    "So you've grown feelings for her, huh," he asked.
    I looked at Eri and she stared right back. I grabbed her hands and smiled at her. 
    "I'd be lying if I said I didn't." I answered. She clenched tightly on my hand, as if preparing for me to run, which I wanted to.
    "Well if you must know, She's just as monstrous as the rest of us." Overhaul said. Walking closer to us.
    My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
    "What are you talking about? Eri is the victim here so don't make it the other way around."I said.
    "Oh but it's true," overhaul continued. "She gets people hurt and killed and doesn't even batt an eye at the pain she's inflicted on others.
Like her mother...and her poor father."
    When I looked down to see Eri, she was trembling at overhauls words. Whimpering and flinching as he talked.
    "Stop it!" I yelled. But he wouldn't. He wanted to continue until Eri was under his control again.
    "Eri, want to explain to Y/N what happens to daddy dearest?"
    She shook her head frantically ,then all of a sudden she let go of my hand to stand near Chronostasis By the door. 
    "Ah good answer" he said as all three of them  started to exit.
    "Eri!" I called, but she continued to walk away. Chronostasis locking the door behind him.

    It felt like it's been hours, but in reality it's been a few minutes. I'm just laying on this sofa, in self pity.
I shouldn't just be sitting here while doing nothing. IV GOT TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!
    A plan, a plan, I've got to think of a plan.
    Just when I was in my state of crisis, I herd the door nob jingle and open. I looked up to see a guard. The guard that escorts me to and from my room.
    He didn't have any special features,he just had blond messy hair, and turquoise eyes. He wore baggy jeans and a leather coat and the usual bird-beak mask.
    I was going to get up so he could take me to my room, but instead he came in and closed the door! What's going on?
   "Ok." He saids in a low voice while walking up to me. At this point I was confused.
    "You wanna get out of here don't you?"
He asked. At first I was still wondering what he meant, but then I caught on. He wants to help me!
    I let my mouth hang open in shock.
    "You-y- you wanna help me?"I asked not believing what's going on.
    This, I never expected, because he didn't seem like the type. He always had a blank expressionless look on his face. We've never talked so I didn't know the type of person he was.
    But wait...
I lowered my expectations. Crossing my arms, I said;
    "Wait... there's a catch isn't there?" I asked.
He chuckled
    "Smart girl."
I sighed. God damn it.
I knew it. This guy is a gang member after all so I didn't expect him to help out of generosity.
"Let's just cut to the chase here. If we fuck, I'll help ya escape. How's that sound? Being in this clan keeps you busy so I never find time to...relieve myself."
    Wow. Just wow.
    To be honest, I wasn't shocked by his request. I mean i'v been asked to carry some ones child. In my opinion can't get any crazier than that. Men. I'm tired of there horny bullshit.
But I'm also desperate.
    "O...ok  fine. But if we're going to go all the way i'll add another favor," I said. "You help me take the girl too."
    He raised his eyebrows, thinking of the bit on the deal we made.
    "Eh, why not. ok deal. The names Reaz." he said, holding his hand out for a handshake, to complete our agreement.
    Once I touch his hand, I'll be selling my body. I'd be no better then the prostitutes that walk the streets. But I'll be free, and not pregnant.
    I give one last big sigh.
I reach out and shake his hand.
"Deal."
