"The Concern" chapter Thirteen

I woke up as morning light filled through the window.
My back was sore, My ass hurt And my legs felt useless.
Then I instantly remembered everything that happened yesterday.
The plan,
How it backfired,
Reaz's murder.
The sex, or should I say the conceiving.
I somehow used up enough power to sit up.
I looked over at the empty space on the right side of the bed where Unsurprisingly, Kai- er- Overhaul wasn't there anymore.
I looked down at my stomach.
Could...could I possibly be pregnant right now?
Other then the soreness from by back side, I didn't fell any different. I prayed that it would be unsuccessful. Hopefully I'm incapable of having a child, then overhaul wouldn't need me, and lets me leave...
Or kills me...
"I... I just want my old...I just want my old life back." I whispered to myself.
Suddenly, a single tear escaped from my eye. Fallowed my another. Then multiple more.
I couldn't even control myself at this point. I let it all out too. I bawled, I screamed, I sobbed. I even called out for my mom and dad, knowing damn well there not there to save me.
Not this time.
I just sat there crying for what seemed like hours, but actually minutes.
When I finally pulled myself together, my face was an assortment of snot, tears and crust. I felt icky all over.
"Maybe I should take a bath..." I said to myself, trying to slide out of bed.
No matter what I tried to do overhaul still got what he wanted, and he didn't care about what he had to do to get it ether.
Even though he became a monster, he was important to me. As a child, I loved him.
I...can't believe this. I was a good friend to that jerk. I've been with him through all those hard times, no matter what, I was near his side supporting him. He was in a gang and I still risked being with him... and he repays me by taking my life away.
This is NOT acceptable.
I will not give up. I refused to be silent. I can't give up now without even fighting back.
My legs felt limp-ish, but I somehow got myself into the bath. After my wash, I dressed.
First my undergarments. Then clothes.
I didn't care what there was to wear, I just put on the first things my hands grabbed hold of. Which was a black turtleneck sweater and leg length skirt.
I just slid on a pair of socks. Forget the shoes.

My lower body ached.
Overhaul was rough yesterday so I guess that explains the pain between my thighs.
But that's not gonna stop me from trying.
Once I was ready, I quickly stumbled to the door.
I took a deep breath, putting all the energy and force that I had into violently banging on the door.
"SOMEONE OPEN UP THIS DAMN DOOR NOW!!" I demanded. It wasn't until a while that someone finally unlocked it.
"What the hells going on here?!" Asked the midget goon, mimic.
I didn't even glance at him, as I walked right past the shorty, and started looking for overhauls office.
"Hey! What do ya think you're doing?!" He hollered. I ignored him, and used the wall to help myself while walking. My knees felt like they could give out any minute, but i continued forward.
Mimic kept ranting as I walked.
If I can remember correctly, it was this way.
    What was my plan exactly? I didn't really know, but whatever it is I couldn't just stand around and do nothing. I had to take action starting now.
It took me a while but, I finally made it, hoping this was the right door.
I grabbed the handle, twisted it, and abruptly swung open the door.
I Instantly regretted my decision.
Overhaul was there... but also at least a dozen other people. There were some big bulky macho guys and tall men who looked weird.
   They wore dark colored clothing, and had very intimidating expressions.
Obviously villains he's probably dealing with. In general, They all looked scary. There heads turn towards the doorframe where I was.
I froze, Almost completely forgetting why I came here in the first place.
Focus Y/N. Don't let these Creeps distract you.
I gulp, looking towards overhaul, who was near the far left of the room standing with chronostasis. His furrowing eyebrows showed he wasn't so appalled to see me either.
"Over-"
"Mimic." He scowls.
Mimic reveals himself from behind me.
"Sorry boss, she wouldn't listen, don't worry, I'll get her out of here." He pledges, and try's to nudge me away, out the door.
I growled.
"You know you really shouldn't be trying to piss me off right now while you're so close to my foot." I warn him, glaring from above.
Some one in the room even snickered.
I guess overhaul couldn't take it anymore because he charged at my direction.
Oh shit, I thought as I tried to scamper away but my legs couldn't carry me quick enough.
I flinched as he reaches towards me. I had expected him to violently push me, but instead he placed one hand firmly on my back and the other Intertwined in my fingers, then carefully escorted me away, with chronostasis and mimic fallowing behind.
This surely caught me by surprise.
    "I ask you all to do one thing and you can't even do it right. Seriously." He grumbles angrily.
Overhaul turns his attention to me, checking over me with concern.
"Why are you out of bed so early?  Your hobbling all over the place. Is your body sore or anything? Did you eat yet?"
My eyes went wide in shock.
Overhauls caring actions for me left me even more surprised, that I didn't even know how to answer back.
Where was the rude blunt personality of his earlier?!
Overhaul was still waiting for a response. When I didn't answer he sighed and looked down to mimic for an answer.
"Ah, no sir, she didn't eat yet. Right when she left, she came straight here." He explained.
"Well that's no good. A great start to the day would be a healthy breakfast. I leave her to you chrono. I've still got to deal with these guys in the room." Overhaul leans me into Chronostasis arms.
He replies with a "yes sir" and assist me with walking to the dining room.
