(Y/n)'s Pov

We arrived at headquarters and I waited outside with Kanao. I didn't try talking with her, because she was very closed off. I had tried to talk to her in the past, but if the coin she had didn't land on it, she wouldn't speak a word. Just then, Tomioka and Shinobu came back.

"We are going to Mt. Natagumo. There might be a twelve demon moon. We need to rescue several lower rank demon slayers." Tomioka said. We made our way towards the mountain.

When we got to the mountain, we decided to split up. Tomioka and I went ahead and Shinobu and Kanao stayed behind to treat people. We headed off to help the younger demon slayers.

We ran up and found someone having their head crushed by a demon. I quickly drew my sword and slashed the demon's arm off.

"Breath of water, fourth form: striking tide." I said aloud, slashing the demon apart. I sheathed my blade and offered my hand to the young man. He was completely shirtless, and had a boar mask on.

"Fight me!" He shouted, hopping to his feet.

"Excuse me?" I asked, not sure if I heard him right.

"You defeated that twelve demon moon! And I'm gonna defeat you! If I can do that, that'll make me the most powerful of all!" The boar-masked guy yelled.

"That wasn't a twelve demon moon, he was too weak. You couldn't tell that yourself?" I asked. The guy looked shocked for a minute before he started screaming again.

"Of course I didn't think that scrub was a twelve demon moon! Tanjiro was the one who said that! All I did was repeat what he said!"

"Tomioka, can you tie him up? I'll go up ahead." I said.

"Whaaaaaaaaat!?!?!?!?!?" The boar-masked guy yelled, realizing he was tied up.

"You're too injured to fight anyone else." I yelled back. We then headed on our way

We ran as fast as we could to the next battle being fought. I saw a boy being surrounded by what looked to be blood-red strings.

"Tomioka, please help the kid. I'll take on the demon." I said. Tomioka nodded, running up and slashing at the threads surrounding the kid. I ran up and slashed the demon's head off. I looked at the demon's head and saw he had five written on his left eye. As this realization hit me, the demon's body started walking towards the kid. The body made it all the way to the kid and collapsed. I decided to go see what was up with the kid. As I drew near, Tomioka shoved me out of the way.

I was going to ask him what the heck he thought he was doing, but I saw that he blocked a sword strike from Shinobu.

"Oh my... why would you get in my way, Tomioka?" Shinobu asked. "That's exactly why no one likes you, you know."

"I like Tomioka. He's awesome." I piped up.

"Oh, (Y/n), when did you get here?" Shinobu asked.

"I've been here the whole time, and I think you might have hit me if Tomioka hadn't sensed you coming and pushed me out of the way." I replied.

"Oh my, I'm sorry if I almost hit you. Please forgive me." Shinobu said, giving a slight bow.

"It's fine, no harm done." I said, reassuring her.

"Make yourself move even if you can't move. Take your sister and run." Tomioka said to the kid.
