We wake just as we fell asleep, still wrapped tightly together. To my surprise and delight, I'm the first to wake- and I don't open my eyes until nearly eleven.

I don't even think about waking Jes, happy to just hold her while she drifts in her much-needed slumber, when I hear the door click shut.

I dart my head up quickly and catch sight of a very smiley, very hungover Jade.

"Wow, I'm good," she grins. "Tell Jes we need to talk later. See you on the plane, Perrie."

And then she's gone as quickly as she came.

I smile, too content to be bothered by the harmless intrusion.

I let myself float in this wonderful land between sleep and waking as long as I can. I'm eventually jarred by my growling belly, which causes Jes to stir as well.

She doesn't wake, just turns a bit in my arms, snuggling her head into my neck and throwing an arm and a leg over my torso.

Her forehead wrinkles and her nose scrunches. I peck a quick kiss to it, but still, she doesn't wake.

The concerned look on her face goes away when she curls a hand around my waist. She hums, then settles, a little smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

I imagine I look positively lovestruck in this moment, mostly because I am. I try to pull back a bit mentally, remind myself that this is a job, not some lover's trip, but it's hard to feel anything but warm and fuzzy and loved when Jesy's snuggled up in my arms, clutching at me like she never wants to let me go.

My stomach growls again and she lets out a quiet whuf, scrunched nose and all, before she burrows her head further into me, her nose poking at my throat, breath hot on my neck.

She shifts so she's half on top of me, and I'd be lyin' if I said that her weight against me isn't positively intoxicating. I could lay here forever, I think, just soaking up all the warm, loving energy, happily protecting the girl I'm falling for.

My stomach has other ideas, though, and lets loose another particularly loud growl.

Jesy, still half asleep, murmurs a sloppy "Shhhh," into my neck, rubbing a half-curled hand across my belly.

I can't help but laugh a bit and plant a kiss to her forehead.

"Good morning," I murmur into her temple.

"Murninm," she mumbles, burying her face back into my neck. "S'time to get up 'lready?"

"We don't have to get up yet, if you don't want. We should probably get up soon, though, if you'd like to get breakfast before we have to get on the plane," I say softly, just above a whisper.

"Plane?" She asks, opening her eyes for the first time. She looks at me confusedly, forehead crinkled, and I press a soft kiss to her nose.

She scrunches it in return, but smiles, and I can't help but sigh.

Careful, Perrie, the little voice in my head warns. She's not yours.

I ignore it for the time being, though I should probably have a bit more concern for my self preservation.

"Pezza?" she calls, seeming a bit unsure.

"Yeah?" I ask, stroking her back to put her at ease.
