A/N: I know we've all seen this pic, but they look so stunning that I couldn't help but use it. They're just such gorgey huns😉

The next few days continue as the last few had, but with lots of little lip kisses instead of cheek ones. Azza scolds me halfheartedly for mussing Jesy's hair during a between-interviews break, but he clearly doesn't really mind. Everyone in the NELS camp seems genuinely happy to see Jesy so happy, and it warms my heart.
Four days before we head back to London, Jesy has a studio day. She's got one radio interview in the morning, but it's a call in, so it hardly counts. She does it on the way to the studio. Usually, it's just Jes, Jade, and maybe one of the producers who goes in on studio days, but today, Jes invited me to come along.
"You'll probably be bored to tears," she warns. "It's just a lot of me singing the same line over and over again, and then maybe working with Jade or another writer or two for a while. You can stay back, if you want."
"I do not want," I assure her. "I'm down to do whatever gets me more time with you."
"Cool." She says with a smile, cheeks going a bit red.
"Hmm," I hum, planting a kiss to her lips.
---
Admittedly, the first hour and a half or so of studio time is a bit dull. Jesy sings the same line over, and over, and over again. I quit counting after number 26, but she must sing it at least another 15 times after that. Then she moves on to another line, and another, before she's given a little break.
She wanders out from behind the glass, water bottle in hand, and I wave her over. I pull her down on my lap once she's close enough, pressing a smacking kiss to her cheek.
She turns, planting a long kiss on my lips, before she pulls back. "Are you bored to death yet?"
"Only mostly," I admit.
She laughs.
"I knew you worked really hard, but I don't think I ever realized how much goes into recording a single song. You sang three lines in an hour and a half," I say, stressing the last bit.
"For a song that probably won't even make the final cut," she says, rolling her eyes. "Welcome to recording. It's my least favorite part of my job."
"I can see why," I say. "How much more recording do you need to do today?"
"Two more lines," she says with a nose-scrunched grin. "But, one of them has a run, so it'll probably take quite some time for Josh to find a cut he likes."
Josh is the name of the producer, I've learned. I only know this because after about every 15 takes, Jesy goes, "Come on, Joshie! You've got to have one you like by now."
And then Josh just looks at her, sort of sour faced, before he goes, "Again, please."
I am not a huge fan of Josh.
"Doesn't your voice get tired?" I ask, rubbing a hand along her waist.
She squirms a little bit, grabbing my hand with a laugh.
I poke her with my fingers, satisfied when she squeals at me to "Stop, Perrie!"
I keep my hands where they are, but keep them still.
"It gets tired, yeah," she says. "I think it's sort of used to it, though. I've been doing this a while now, you know?"
I nod, leaning my head on her arm. She brings a hand up to caress my face, teasing her fingers from under my chin all the way through my hair, pushing it into a dramatic quiff at my temple.
