Chapter 19: Siblings?

This is your child, Tobias.

This story now takes place 6 years later.

  "Happy birthday, Tobi!" You pick up the birthday boy and hug him. He smiles, hugging back. "Mommy!" He moves away, "Where's Freddy?" "You mean Fredrick?" You question and he pouts. "Looks like a Freddy to me..." He mumbles and you giggle. "He's in the garden, feeding the baby nature dragons."

  "Yay!" He rushes out, seeing Fredrick sitting on the ground with a whole bunch of baby dragons on him. "Freddy!" He rushes over and hugs him. "Hey, kiddo, what's up?" Fredrick looks at Tobias. "Do you know where Alberta is?" "Ah, yeah. In the backyard." "Thanks!" Tobias skips out and rushes out back, seeing his best-est friend, Alberta. She was a black sheep Tobias saved from a wolf when she was a baby.

 "Alberta!" He rushes over and his friend looks at him, hopping around in excitement. "I'm 5 today, Alberta!" He hugs her. "Aren't you happy?" He questions and the sheep nods her head, snuggling close to her best buddy. "Yay!" Tobias cheers. "Today, I want to go somewhere, ok? And I want you to come with! You see... There's this thing I found that can help you speak!" He summons a book in his hands and shows her what he was talking about. "And since I was born with magic... I can get it for you and use it! Then we can talk to each other! Wouldn't you like that?"

  Alberta starts to hop around Tobias, liking the idea. Tobias giggles, "Then let's do this!"

  "Got everything?" Tobias looks at Alberta who was carrying a few bags on her and in her mouth. She gives a nod and Tobias gives a thumbs up. "Great..! Now... Let's go." He sneaks out the backyard with his sheep buddy and they quietly leave the house.

  Tobias already knew the whole area and all the dragons in it. If he needed help, he could just ask them for his home's direction and they'll point it out! They're really good friends!

  They both walk along the nearby stream and Tobias summons a map, looking at it. "Oh! This way!!" He starts to run and Alberta follows behind. They both stop instantly when they hear voices though...

  "U-um, Willard... Is this really safe...? I mean... We're only children...." Tobias hears a little girl question in fear then hears a little boy speak loud in confidence. "Samantha, we got this! Daddy needs this so we're getting it for him!" "I-I know, but... Let the guards get it, he said... Remember those words??" "Yeah, but we're better than all those rock-brained dummies." 

  Tobias frowns and sneaks closer to them, peaking from behind a tree. He sees a little girl hugging a brown teddy with a night gown and long socks on. Her hair was neatly brushed and short, unlike the boy's who was just a huge mess. The boy was wearing pajamas and socks.

   Tobias looks at Alberta and she looks back at him, wondering why they needed the magical item too. He frowns and looks at the children. "Stay here, Alberta...." He whispers to her then sneaks closer to the kids. Being so young, Tobias couldn't use big magic yet so he had to get up close to do closer, small ones.

  Smirking, Tobias touches the ground and roots come up, wrapping around the kid's legs. "W-wha?!" Willard gets caught by surprise and Samantha starts to cry.

  Tobias looks at Samantha, kinda feeling bad for making her cry. He knew she was already so scared... But then again, it was kinda funny too, seeing her cry. Pretty pathetic, she is. He sneaks back to Alberta and they quietly leave, getting to the secret place where the magical item was. He looks at Alberta. "You ready, Alberta?" He smiles and she nods her head.

  Just when they were about to walk, something grabs Tobias. He turns, seeing Willard. "W-what the?! How did you..." "So you're the wizard who pulled that stunt, huh?!" Willard growls and punches Tobias. Alberta headbutts Willard in the stomach causing him to fall to the ground and they start to run to the item, seeing it was an amulet. "Alberta, get it!!" Tobias yells and she speeds up. 

  "No, wait!!" They both hear Samantha yell, sobbing. Alberta actually stops and looks at the little girl. "Why did you stop, Alberta?!" Tobias clenches his fists then looks at the girl. "What did you do to my friend?!" He stomps over. "Why did she listen?!" "I-I don't know..." Samantha shakes in fear and Tobias grins. "You're a little scaredy cat, you know that? Why do you and that brainless idiot even want that amulet?" Tobias points to it and Samantha hugs her teddy tighter. "Daddy needs it so we can get mommy back..." She looks down sadly. Tobias's grin fades and he quietly stares at her.

  It would suck not having a mommy... He loved his very much... "Your mommy, huh...?" He speaks in soft voice, thinking. Samantha slowly nods her head. "Yeah..." "My mom is the best mom..." Tobias smiles. "She's very nice and caring... What happened to your...?" "Well... My daddy said that some evil demons took her away!" Samantha's eyes get watery again. "And he wants to bring her back to him, no matter the cost!" 

  Alberta walks over to Tobias and gently hits his leg. Tobias sighs, closing his eyes. "I know, Alberta... I know..." He opens them again then looks at the little girl. "Fine. Keep it. But tell your daddy this, got it? Tell him I, Tobias Vay L/n, gave it to you! And he should be very grateful!" "L/n?!" Samantha gasps, her eyes growing wide and sparkling. "U-uh, yeah?" Tobias steps back, confused. "Then do you know Y/n L/n??" "She's my mother!" Tobias glares at the girl. "She's mine too!!" Samantha hugs the now confused boy. 

  Tobias's eyes widen. "I have older siblings....?" He whispers, completely confused and shocked at this sudden news Samantha was telling him.
