chapter 7 ༉

Those were words that Lisa heard before her mind was clouded.

And just like that, everything in a millisecond happened, the unexpected did. In a blink of an eye, Lisa was just right beside Jungkook, and then she was suddenly in the Center of everyone else, her beautiful wings appeared, but they didn't radiate the powerful, ethereal energy.

This time, it was anger and betrayal, she was furious. Her eyes glowed and she pushed her own kind away.

"What do you think you're doing! You're disrespe-"

Lisa cut her father off. "I have every right to, you gave me away, I'm not an object, I'm your daughter for Godsake!"

"Lisa wait-"

"Go back to where you belong." A white shining flame was formed in her palms, and she threw it at the angels, and just like that, they disappeared.

Lisa fell to her knees.

Jungkook ran up to her and tried to hold her waist for support. "Take it easy, doll."

"I- can't- I can't believe it, I'll never forgive them for what they did." She sobbed her eyes out, Jennie looked at her sympathetically.

"You need to rest," Jungkook tried to pull Lisa up to stand, her wings disappeared as she did, she barely did anything, her energy still hasn't faded, it was still there, a lot of them.

But who knew, even saying those words won't give you enough strength especially when it's the people you trusted the most caused you to be at your worst.

"You alright?" Jungkook asked Lisa, who just stared at the ceiling, she was frustrated.

"I can't be, it's too hard to comprehend at this point. I should've believed you guys from the start," Jungkook pursed his lips at the angel's words, "—but I was dumb and still forced myself to believe that they didn't do anything wrong." She continued.

Her tone was laced with sadness, and indeed, she wasn't going to heal anytime soon.

"Jennie told me that I should ask you to get answers, because I'm that nosy and curious, right? I'm dearly sorry about it, Jungkook." Lisa apologized.

Jungkook's eyes widened, "What? Why are you apologizing? There's no need—"

"Yeah about that, I kind of treated you like trash when you first took me here, but what kind of bet did you guys form for them to give me away?" Lisa cuts him off.

Jungkook's eyes softened.

"But I can't say it."

Lisa sighed. "How long are you willing to keep this to yourself and your kind, Jungkook?"

"I promise you not for long, the right time will come, and if you make up your mind, the wedding is in two weeks." Jungkook announced, Lisa grimaced.

"Pardon me?" She needed to check if she was hearing things, she obviously wasn't ofcourse. But in what world-

"No questions, you will be resting now, Princess. I'll check up on you in a bit, for now, I have some business to take care of." He turned her back on her, and disappeared just like that, leaving Lisa's questions unanswered.

"I didn't think she'd do that." Jennie finally spoke after being in a quiet silence with her family.

"She has every right to, i wouldn't accept it if I was given just like that for power. Your loved ones matter more than whatever physical object you want to retrieve." Yoongi ranted, and everyone agreed.

"When will you be travelling back to Earth, Jen?" Seokjin asked, and Jennie shrugged.

"If ever father would let me, i miss the smell of town sometimes, the palace can be too suffocating, don't you think?" She raised an eyebrow at Seokjin who just sighed.

"As for Lisa though, she was born and raised in a kingdom that taught that betrayal was forbidden and it could harm a lot of statuses—"

"Which is right because she can't trust anyone now, am I correct?" Jungkook appeared out of nowhere and they all looked at him.

"How long have you been listening to our conversation? That was confidential you eavesdropper." Jennie hmped.

"As if you've never eavesdropped on me before, sister." He teased, Jennie rolled her eyes.

"Shouldn't you be with your future wife right now? You guys are gonna married soon, will have children and will take over the demon realm." Jennie said in the most enthusiastic tone she could ever voice out.

"I don't understand sometimes, Father could've chosen someone in the demon realm to be Jungkooks wife instead, yet he chose someone from the angel realm." Bambam yawned.

"Because Lisa has a gift?" It was more like a question when Yoongi said it, but he seemed sure deep inside.

Somehow, they all knew that Lisa would trust them in a matter of days, and... when she's finally gonna realize that she's in the good side after all this time.

Not every angel can stay angelic, sometimes, it even gets mixed with a little demon.

Lisa laid down in the dark bed and looked straight up the ceiling.

She couldn't fall asleep, not in this state, but she was exhausted, yes she could fight, she could defend herself. But she gets drained too easily.

She needed someone with her right now, someone like...

"Me?"

Lisa was startled, she sat up and looked forward, revealing Jungkook.

"What do you want?" She asked, emotionless this time.

"I'm sorry, did I interrupt your thoughts? Dreamland perhaps? Hm?" Jungkook talked as he walked towards the bed, closer. Before finally sitting down.

"Get out of my head, I really don't have time for this right now Jungkook—"

Jungkook cuts her off, "I told you to rest."

"You aren't my mother to start giving me orders." She sassily replies.

"You're really feisty, princess. I hope you know that." Jungkook cleared his throat, "I'm most certainly not your mother but I'm your future husband, so if you wanna actually maintain a good relationship with me then you're just gonna have to follow the things I say. They're good for you."

"I'm not gonna catch feelings for you, no way in hell." Lisa gave him a disgusted look.

Jungkook chuckles lightly, "well, maybe you're gonna regret saying that someday when we're married, and actually have kids."
