chapter 23 ☾

Jennie stole a glance at the woman who just entered, she looked exactly like Lisa, Hell, she is Lisa.

She now has black hair with silver highlights and her eyes remained a dark shade, her hair was longer and she didn't change a bit.

"Come on Lily, you're not saying that I'm doubting you right? It was a joke," Jimin teases and the ravenette chuckles.

"I am aware. And you also told me we'll be having special guests," Lily paused as she looked as Jisoo, "ofcourse aside from your roommate." She gave Jisoo a light smile and the elder returned one back.

Lily turned her head and met Jennie's eyes.

For a split second, Jennie's eyes glowed red, Lily's eye glowed a red, and the other one white with a hint of ice blue to it.

Irene noticed this and she tried putting up a welcoming expression whilst Jennie just kept staring at her, it was hard not to because... that's literally Lisa infront of them.

There was no absolute way that isn't her.

"So I take it we start eating? We dont have all day." Lily interrupts the moment she was having with the two demons, Jimin seemingly noticed the tension and he could feel that Jisoo has aswell, so they both nodded, and Irene follows and Jennie snaps out of her trance.

They were all seated in the living room eating pasta as a movie was played on the large TV. Jennie was still a bit shaken so she couldn't finish her food, Irene on the other hand, tried forgetting about the recent encounter.

Oh the urge to ask Lisa where she's been right now.

The reason why Jennie knew it was her, is because whose eyes glows like those? Ofcourse, Lisa.

Her aura was a bit too intimidating, it's definitely not like what Lisa had before months ago, it was unsettling at first, but there must've been a clearer explanation for the mess.

Lisa's, or should Jennie say, Lily's eyes were focused on the movie as she completely finished off the pasta, every once in awhile chitchatting with Jimin.

It was so awkward, the atmosphere was awkward, not even Jisoo could properly start a conversation, surprisingly because the woman was literally a social butterfly.

Lily cleared her throat, "may I use the bathroom?" She asked and Jimin nods, gesturing where the bathroom is as she sets her plate down on the table before walking over to the room.

When she got there, she closed the door and locked it, and slid down.

She covered her face with her hands and mentally groans. After all the times you could've been here, you really are just gonna appear now when I'm literally not ready to face you. She thought.

"Fucksakes." Lisa whispered, it was obviously going to be trippy with Jennie and Irene around.

She went over to the sink and washed her hands, trying to stay calm and mentally blaming herself for her eyes glowing.

It was evident she was the Lisa that Jungkook married back in the demon realm, who is she kidding, even without her powers she's still Lisa.

Seems like the use of another name is backfiring on her, perhaps life really hates her for some odd reason.

Lisa couldn't count how long she's been inside the bathroom til Jisoo started knocking.

"Lily? You've been there for ten minutes now, are you okay?" Jisoo calls out while Lisa sighed.

"I'm coming," she answered, Lisa unlocked the door and she was still met with the two girls sitting on the couch and Jimin was nowhere to be found, probably in his room, Jisoo was just by the door.

"Where's Jimin?" She asked to Jisoo who just gestured at Jimin's room, and Lisa obliged and went there.

Jennie watched this whole scene with her eyebrows furrowed, no, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, but she had a feeling that Lisa does remember them, she can't just go with this Lily act forever.

"Tough time?" Jisoo gave an apologetic look to the younger and she groans out in frustration.

"This is so difficult." Irene mentally cried out, "who knew a trip to earth could be so stressful."

"So what do you plan on doing now?" Jimin asked the dark haired woman who paced back and forth in this room.

"I don't know Jimin, enlighten me would you?" Lisa replied unenthusiastically and Jimin chuckled.

"Simple, go back to your realm and forget about the demons."

Lisa rubbed her temples, "because that's really so easy, don't you think Jimin? You're a CEO, you're a rich fuck, and you've become that eversince you left the light world."

"I didn't leave without saying goodbye."

"She misses you."

Jimin sighed, "am I supposed to be believing that? Chaeyoung has Chanyeol now, Li."

"But they're just bestfriends, if you're actually telling me that you left the Angel realm just because of that dumb reason then why are we friends," Lisa swore to her life she was talking to the stupidest man on earth, aside from Taehyung back in the demon realm, mentally apologising for calling him stupid but he sometimes was. Since their first encounter wasn't that welcoming.

"Definitely— not," Jimin says slowly and Lisa squinted at him.

"Okay why did this become about me? Those people outside are your people now, you can't just go around hiding your powers forever Lisa." Jimin rambled.

Lisa rolled her eyes, "yeah? You managed to hide yours for years here, can you just be happy that Jisoo actually understands you and isn't freaking out?"

"You have a whole mansion."

"But then you bought that mansion for me." Lisa smiles at him sarcastically and he sighed in defeat.

"I can't give you too much help, I'm useless at this point, sure I know Jennie and all but it doesn't mean that I can convince her that you aren't Lisa and that you don't remember anything." Jimin shrugs.

"Jennie's not an idiot, Jimin. Unfortunately she has common sense and actually thinks unlike some people back in the Angel realm. I can't even imagine the amount of blaming they all took when I apparently passed." Lisa hides her face in her palms and Jimin pursed his lips.

"You're staying for tonight, it's late and I'm not letting you go outside at this time." Jimin lightly scolds and Lisa nodded.

Little did the duo know.... they were being watched the whole time.
