Kwazii: What was that?!

Rochelle: You were showing them your magic. I-I didn't know what else to do.

Dashi: Ugh. Close the curtains? Unplug his amp? Give us a chance to deal with the situation?

Rochelle: I'm sorry, I just wanted to help.

Kwazii: Yeah, well, you didn’t.

Tweak: None of this would've happened if you weren't tryin' to show off – as usual.

(Tiffany shows up.)

Tiffany: Good show, "Octogines". I especially liked the part where Rochelle, in a fit of jealous rage, knocked out Kwazii mid-guitar solo!

Rochelle: (Angry and upset) It wasn't a fit of jealous rage!

Tiffany: If you say so. (Sees Inkling walking onstage) Ooh! Looks like he’s already decided who'll be moving on to the finals! I'm guessing it wasn't too difficult a decision.

[door opens]

(The Dazzlings walk to Principal Inkling and start vocalizing.)

Rochelle: (Witnessing this) Huh?

Dashi: What can we do? There isn't gonna be another opportunity for us to play. And I had the my camera all ready to go!

Tweak: Yup, 'cause that's the real tragedy here, Dashi – that you won't get to have your photoshoot.

Dashi: You know perfectly well that is not what I meant!

Kwazii: You guys wanna keep it down? He’s about to announce who's moving on.

Peso: Who are you kidding? You know it isn't gonna be us.

(Onstage)

Principal Inking: The band that will be joining the Dazzlings in tonight's finals... The Octonauts!

Tiffany: What?!

Main cast: Huh?

Shellington: Did he just say, "the Octonauts”?!

(Confused, they head onstage.)

Tiffany: This isn't over!

(Onstage)

Principal Inkling: Congratulations, you lot. You deserve it.

Shellington: Seriously?! We didn't even finish our—!

(Kwazii nudges Shellington to stop him talking.)

Marina: See you at tonight's big show, Octonauts. We are really looking forward to it.

Kwazii: Yeah, well... not as much as we are!

Crowd: [jeering]

Girl: Zis never should haf been you, Octonauts!

Crowd: [jeering]

(The 6 friends move offstage with the crowd still angry)

Tiffany: This is a travesty! A travesty!

(The Dazzlings walk to Tiffany and pretend to sympathise with her.)

Marina: It really is! The Octonauts don't deserve to be in the finals. Not when your band was so much better in the semis.

Olivia: And wanted it so much more.

Marina: Alas, this is the way it's going to be. Dazzlings vs. Octonauts.

Lily: Unless, of course, the Octonauts don't manage to make it to their set or held up for some reason.

Tiffany: (Getting an idea) Hmm... [sinister chuckling]
