18) Addi

I wake up to see a man above me. I flinch back against the wall, still insure of who it is. He's soon yanked away by someone I couldn't see. I stay huddled against the wall and hope they've forgotten about me. Unfortunately, the door opens again soon and I hear someone approach. I know it's insane but I pray that they won't see me.

The mattress sinks beside me and I stiffen. "Hey, Addi? It's Rebecca, remember me?"

I look up through my dirty hair and relax at the sight of a familiar face. I nod and put my head on top of my knees to watch her. She was the one who talked to me after I got to the hospital.

"Do you know who was in here when you woke up?" She asks, her face kind. I shake my head and wait for her answer. "It was your friend, Dan, you saw and Phil was behind him."

I sit up straighter (which was only slightly bent rather than almost kissing my feet). "Dan and Phil were here?"

Rebecca seems shocked at my words, and she should be. They're the first words I've uttered besides cries for help. She quickly recovers and nods. "Yes. Would you like to see them?" I nod and she adds. "I have to know, is it okay if they touch you? I don't want you to get upset, and it's perfectly fine if you don't."

I pause and nod my head. I think I need a Phan hug. Scratch that, I know I need one.

"Do you want to walk out there?" She asks. I nod and slowly stand. I wobble for a second then steady myself. We walk down the hall and into a small room.

"Dan, she's fine. Please sit-" Phil was saying then stops when he sees me.

Dan, Phil, and I all stare at each other then I run and jump into Dan's arms. I feel Phil's encircle us soon after. I don't know who started crying first, (probably me) but soon we all are.
