My name is Addi. I am from the United States. I was raped and beaten. I have trust issues now. I have a puppy named Annie. She is black and white and brown. I have to take her on a walk in two hours. I will call my mom and my friends immediately after.

You know, dealing with my mental issues by repeating a mantra I got the idea from a dystopian war trilogy probably isn't the best idea, but it works. It's been two weeks since it happened. They couldn't find him. I'm kind of glad. It would've driven me over the edge seeing his face in the newspapers and on the news. The only people that know are my friends and family, and of course my counselor.

My hair is in its signature messy bun and I'm in a hoodie -despite the fact that it's June- and shorts. Annie, my tricolored King Charles Caviler (the attached photo), is sleeping at the foot of my bed on top of my dark grey and cream duvet. I'm sitting cross legged on top of the blankets as well but I'm staring at my laptop screen, a blank Word document is opened and the cursor is blinking at me. Debbie said it would be good to write down my feelings but I have nothing. I don't want to write down what I think because that makes me feel it, and if I feel it it can hurt me.

I take a deep breath and close out of the document. I stand up to get a cup of tea and chuckle, or the closest thing I've done to a chuckle since then, when Annie quickly raises her head and whines; she doesn't like to be left. I pick her up and continue to the kitchen.

I quickly put on the teapot and get out my favorite tea bag, Tazo chai. I quickly add the cream and sugar to the mug and soon follow with the steaming water. I grab the mug and head over to the chair I have positioned by the window. Looking out on the street, I start to wonder, what would I be doing right now if I didn't meet up with Him? Would I have a job? Or maybe a boyfriend?

I'm quickly brought out of my thoughts by small barks. "Do you want to go for an extra long walk today, Annie?" I ask the little ball of fur that has its front paws on my shin. "Alright."

I get the leash and attach it to her collar. Hopefully I won't have to speak to anyone, but with my luck I will.

"Hi, is this seat taken? It's just there's no where else to sit." A man asks me; he has an Australian accent which is mildly strange. He's probably twenty with a chocolate brown quiff and bright blue eyes. His cheeks have a natural pink flush that matches his bright pink lips, giving him a juvenile look. I shake my head and swallow my ice cream. I stopped outside my favorite frozen yogurt shop when Annie laid down in the middle of the sidewalk and I had to carry her.

He extends his hand. "I'm Troye with an 'e'." I shake and give a small laugh at his introduction.

"Hi Troye. I'm Addi with an 'i' and no 'e'." I say. I don't trust him and to be honest I'm a bit frightened but I'll try to at least be polite. "I'm guessing by your accent you're not from around here. What brings you to Oklahoma?"

"You would be exactly right. I'm from Australia which you probably guessed and I'm here just traveling. I'm headed to visit a friend in LA but I thought I'd stop here." He says while nodding his head once and a while. He raises a spoon full of chocolate ice cream and more chocolate candies to his mouth.

"If you haven't been yet you should go to the Zoo. It's pretty amazing if I do say so myself." I add to keep the awkward silence away.

"I've heard," He responds and opens his mouth to respond but then he sees Annie and his mouth drops open. "Is that your dog?"

I nod. "Her name's Annie. Wanna hold her?" I ask picking her up from her position on the side of my chair.

He nods enthusiastically and takes her from me. "Awww!" He coos. She just wags her tail and licks his nose. He gives a girlish giggle and smiles widely.

I take another bite of my ice cream and smile. I'm glad I'm not the only one she makes happy.

Troye and I talked for about an hour, which is good for me. I learned that he loved music as much, if not more, than I do; we both love YouTube and have small channels, and that he's working on a cover. We were talking about possible YouTube couples when his phone went off.

"Ugh! I've got to go. The people I'm traveling with have finally noticed I'm gone." He chuckles.

I smile and ask. "Well can I have your Twitter, Troye with an 'e'?" We quickly exchange phones and follow each other as well as add our numbers.

"It was nice meeting you, have fun in LA!" I say.

He stands back up from scratching Annie. "Thanks! I'll be waiting for a cover."

"And I yours!" I say and then notice he's moving in the hug me. It's okay, Addi. Just a hug. A friendly hug. He won't hurt you, I think and wrap my arms around his back and step back as he does.

He looks at me questioningly. "Are you okay?"

Crap, I starting breathing quickly. "Yeah, um sorry." How do I explain this? "I- um-"

"Hey," He says comfortingly. "It's fine. I understand. I'll talk to you later hopefully?"

"Yeah, have fun. Bye!" I say and wave as he calls a farewell and jogs off. I pick up Annie and sigh. "Why do I have to be so weird?"

Hopefully I won't see anyone on the way home, unfortunately it didn't work out like that.

A/N:

Well hello everybody! I updated! Are you proud of me?

I INTRODUCED TROYE BECAUSE I NEEDED ANOTHER YOUTUBE PERSON IN THIS. IT WAS NEEDED FOR MY OWN HEALTH. Yeah. Totally.

Y'all know the drill, what do you think will happen? What do you WANT to happen?

This is so hard for me to write because I have to get in this mindset and it's so weird for me, but whatever it's kind of fun.
