CHAPTER FOUR
goodbyes are for
losers.

Aiden felt like she was going to vomit everything she had at that evening. Daryl was missing. Bob was bit. Gareth was still alive.

"We leave for DC right now." Abraham spoke. And now there was that.

"Daryl and Carol are gonna be back. We're not going anywhere without them." Rick stated.

"I respect that, but there's a clear threat here to Eugene. I need to extract his ass before things get any uglier. So if y'all won't come, good luck to you. We'll go our separate ways." Abraham said to the group.

"You leaving on foot?" Rick asked. Abraham and Rosita stopped walking.

"We fixed that damn bus ourselves." Abraham turned around.

"There are a lot more of us." Rick started to walk towards the man. Aiden quickly moved from the pews to the two men.

"You want to keep it that way? You should come." Abraham retorted.

"Carol saved your life. We saved your life." Rick got in his face.

"Well, I am trying to save yours! Save everyone's!"

"We're not going anywhere without our people." Rick said.

"Your people took off." Abraham said.

"They're coming back." Aiden hissed, her cocoa eyes narrowing.

"To what, picked-over bones!?" Abraham yelled in her face.

"Hey! Don't talk to her-" Rick pushed the bigger man and Abraham slapped his arm away.

"Do not lay hands!" Abraham screamed in his face.

"Abraham!" Rosita yelled at him.

"Stop!" Aiden and Glenn both stepped in. Glenn turned to Abraham while Aiden looked at Rick.

"Rick, you need to chill the fuck out. I get it. Okay? My husband is fuckin' gone. We're being stalked by a bunch of cannibals we thought were dead and Bob is dying. Now is not the time to pick a fight." Aiden whispered to him. Rick looked down at her with eyes screaming at her, "don't give me that look, asshole. You know I'm right."

The two had missed Glenn and Abraham's conversation. They only caught the last bit where Tara stepped in, "I have an idea. If you stay just one more day and help, I'll go with you to DC no matter what. Okay?" She looked at Maggie.

"Glenn and Maggie, too." Abraham spoke.

"Hell no!" Aiden shouted.

"Good luck, then. I'm not interest in breaking up what you have here. Rosita, grab gear."

"Abraham-"

"Now. Eugene, let's go. Eugene. Move it."

"I don't want to."

"Now!"

"Okay." Eugene stood and walked over to the two.
