CHAPTER SEVEN,
from a friend.

The group had fell off the deep end, losing three people in a span of a few days.

It had been three weeks since Atlanta. Since Beth, Tyreese, and Bob.

No one had ate anything in a couple days. They all knew Aiden would get the first bit of food they found. She was exhausted. Aiden didn't want to keep moving. She just wanted everything to stop.

The group had lost their van which meant they had to walk. Sixty miles to Washington DC.

The entire group was tired. The Virginia heat beat down on their backs. Aiden's eyes welled up with tears suddenly and she quickly wiped them with the back of her hand.

Daryl and Carol had went off in the woods in search of water or food.

Abraham fell into step with Aiden. She looked up at the taller man before looking at the walkers behind them, "we're gonna have to take them eventually."

"Yeah, I know." Abraham agreed. He looked back at the slowly growing horde of walkers. "You good?"

Aiden didn't respond. "Are you?"

Abraham scoffed, "hell no." The ginger let his hand pat Aiden on the shoulder, "but this is a strong ass group, Mrs. Dixon. We can make it."

Aiden sat on the other side of the bridge while Michonne, Sasha, Rick, Glenn, Abraham, and Maggie stood on the other side waiting for the walkers.

They were going to push them off and into the gulley on either side of them.

The group of walkers finally reached them and they other started to push them. Aiden watched in anticipation until Sasha stabbed one causing it to go to shit.

Aiden's anxiety flew through the roof. She quickly stood up but Carl's hand reached up and pulled her back down, "they can handle it."

Daryl eventually came out of the woods and saved Rick's life by pulling a walker off of him and killing it.

The had killed all the walkers and made their way back to the others.

Aiden and Daryl's hands were locked, "Dad, look." Carl said.

Over a small hill was a couple cars. "I'm gonna head into the woods, circle back." Daryl said. He looked down at Aiden and kissed the top of her head, "don't leave anyone's sight."

Aiden rolled her eyes. She was sick of being treated like a child, "okay. Be careful."

"May I come with?" Carol asked.

"Nah, just me." Daryl walked off into the woods. Aiden walked up to a car and opened the door only to see a a dead person in both the drivers seat and passenger seat. In both of their hands was a pistol, both committed.
