CHAPTER SEVENTEEN,
and the walls came
tumbling down.
The day went on.
"Spencer almost died." Payton said as he approached Aiden. She simply looked at him.
"What?" She asked.
"He tried to climb over the walls with a grappling hook. What a dumbass." Payton rolled his eyes.
"So what happened?" She questioned.
"The hook came undone and he fell outside the walls. Tara's dumbass almost got herself killed by firing at them from standing on the wall. Uh, me, Morgan, Rick, and Tobin helped Spencer back over." Payton explained.
Payton noticed Aiden's eyes watching the sky. He turned and saw green balloons floating in the air, "that's Glenn." And Aiden took off towards the other with Payton on her heels.
She saw Maggie smiling widely, "that's Glenn!"
They heard it first.
The tower creaking.
Then they saw it.
The tower tilting.
Then they felt it.
"Run!"
Aiden was knocked backwards, Payton grabbed her arms to steady her. Dust picked up around them all. The woman coughed, her nostrils and throat burning at the dust pick up.
Her eyes widened when she saw the walkers spill in.
This was the end of Alexandria, she thought.
"Everyone, get inside!" Aiden yelled.
Payton and Aiden took off and after a couple seconds, Carl was at their side. Aiden watched Xavier help Tara and Rosita get Tobin up.
After minutes of firing at walkers, she and several others met up with Rick who was helping a wounded Deanna. "Come on! I have Judith!" Jessie yelled as she shout several walkers.
The group ran inside the Anderson house. The group inside the house consisted of Michonne, Rick, Deanna, Gabriel, Payton, Aiden, Carl, Sam, Ron, and Jessie.
Everyone was panicking to get Deanna inside a room and Judith was wailing. Carl approached Aiden with the sobbing baby. Aiden placed on hand on the side of Carl's head and the other on Judith's head. "Hey, baby. It's okay. You're okay, we're here." She whispered to the baby. "It's okay, Judy."
After a couple minutes the baby finally calmed down.

Aiden couldn't explain what she was feeling. Walkers were flooding the streets. She didn't know who was all alive. She didn't know when her husband would return. And she had just been informed Deanna was bit.
Aiden's head rested in her hands while she sat on the chair beside Deanna's bed. Michonne stood up beside her. "Aiden." Deanna said.
