Move on

Bad Memories;

Thoughts lingered in her mind:
to end everything
For she's too tired to fight
Afraid to start forgetting;

She looked at the chair
She once sat
Thinking how the world is unfair
To leave her happiness rut

Or maybe it's just her
Being dramatic
But leave her be, if you truly care
Don't turn her into something robotic

She remembered
when she was truly happy
A child ever so carefree
Until life broke her severely

Why did you do that,
to play with her
To damage her that much
Did you even care

She used to blame herself
Putting the fault upon her
And not to anyone else
A wound that to heal takes forever

How could you
Now she couldn't go back
Her eyes lost the golden hue
Because of conscience that you lack

She became a master of disguise
You won't be able to tell
What she's feeling inside
A broken smile she sell;

Everyone believed
Her little facade, her little act;
But all she wanted was to be relieved
For someone to see under her painted mask

Those who fault her,
She was waiting for their apologies
They just needed to approach her
For to her, forgiveness doesn't take centuries

After so long, months to years
Now moving on she's doing
Bit by bit, forgetting her fears
Golden shine, her eyes regaining

Slowly she's setting herself free
Of all the bad memories
She found herself being the old she.
A child that was actually me.
